Better stop reading about this case, then! Because my impression is that Wexner may be up to his eyeballs in it. Allegedly.

Virginia Giuffre admits she was wrong to accuse Alan Dershowitz of having sex with her on 7 different occasions. He had records to prove she was wrong and said he’s never met her. After going through a type of hell can he take action against her for such outrageous lies?

I can't read the article without registration but the bit i saw suggests she's claiming a mistake of identity rather than deliberately lying. She shouldn't be punished for that

She says she "may have" been wrong, language he himself employs in his statement, and he has also dropped his own defamation suit. It’s a settlement, essentially. Based on that article, at least, it seems far from the slam dunk you’re portraying it as.

What’s undeniable is that Giuffre was trafficked by Epstein as a minor and Dershowitz was in his inner circle for many years. Even if he never touched any Epstein "employees" (and he’s admitted to receiving a massage from at least one, though claims she was an "old Russian woman"), he can hardly wash his hands of the whole enterprise or act as if he had no idea what was going on. So even if she had straight up lied about this out of malice, casting him as the innocent and her as the aggressor in this scenario is a bit off-kilter.

Entirely slam dunk David. This time she’s guilty of making false allegations: he has consistently denied even meeting her. She’s admitted her wrongdoing albeit somewhat ungraciously.

Dershowitz himself literally said in his statement: "I have ... come to believe that at the time she accused me she believed what she said." So even he's not accusing her of lying any more. That's a big shift from a few years back when he was threatening that she would be imprisoned for her allegations.
