This was the date that Jobe was going to be officially stripped. But they gave him enough time and a chance to "do the right thing". Then some label him some kind of hero for doing it.... after 4 years.
Anyway.
Thursday the 17th is now the date we find out if the runners-up get a medal each, or no one gets it.
Too bad Swanny wasn't involved here.

The AFL Commission has decided not to remove Watson from the 2012 All-Australian team.

Obviously some of these things are minimal (Rising Star nomination lol), but they should all be wiped from the books.
I dont see how they can keep Jobe in the AA squad after taking the Brownlow from him. Bloody stupid.

As with Bob Murphy, there's been some talk that Jobe is going to walk away from the game.
Dont know how true this news is, but you'd think he would have known that the Charlie was being taken back. What would have changed his mind? Fitness? Old injury?
Anyway, we'll see what happens in the next few days.

Sounds like he's playing.
Like H, it would suck if you just missed out on being drafted and then hear that players are retiring (and spots are opening) after the draft.

Get lost idiot. He was going to be stripped and the AFL gave him a chance to "Do the right thing".
Please.
He had 4 years to had it back and waited until, what?, 2 days before the AFL's deadline.
Get real Tanner.

What a hero! That club is full of delusion!
