I really can't see Hird being sacked until WADA's verdict is handed down.

Until then he's safe even though I'm still astonished he's still coaching despite overseeing this whole supplements program in the first place.

More sport. Bumblers 40, Welfare 127.

Important stats: Crameri out scored Essendon; that was Essendon's 8th score of 60 points or less this season.

Adam Cooney just took early retirement - I'm sure there'll be replays everywhere.

Meanwhile, the Giants lead the Dons by about 40 points with a couple of minutes to go.

Hird is 'shocked to be sitting here' reading Bomber Thompson's comments :P

He'll be even more shocked to read what Little Timmy thinks:

http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/p ... ivu34.html

For example: "I think there is still a critical month of football to play out for Essendon and for him as well as to whether or not he is going to be able to secure that position - not extend his contract but whether or not he is actually going to be able to coach his contract out because of where they are at right now."

1 week! For that head-high bump? It was plainly high and appeared to be intentional.

Obviously not a Collingwood player.

Down 153-59 with 7:36 to go against the Crows I reckon it's not too much longer.

^^^^ Since it was 15 goals to 5 about half an hour ago, it is worth mentioning that Channel 7 has this on delay and it is only half-time in their broadcast, so you can watch the Crows win the second-half about 18 goals to 4, if you want.

That's another 112 point loss for The Saviour.

Let's help cheer him home.

Essendon and Hird were stuffed from the moment WADA decided to appeal.

There list isn't as bad as they're playing but the players are mentally shot.

Problem for Essendon is only Harvey or Craig would be prepared to take on the coaching job until the outcome of the WADA appeal is known.
