Collingwood vs Casey VFL Elimination Final: Match Report
Before I switched over to the Geelong -vs- Western Bulldogs game I watched almost the entire Collingwood vs Casey game and I was impressed by some of the performances.
Collingwood 26.21. 177 defeated Casey 9.8.62
Over 40 scoring shots!!!
Brad Dick kicked 5, including 3 in the 3rd term. Jaxon Barham and Cameron Wood looked terrific. No one looked pathetic, except Casey... , although Marty Clarke wasn't good enough to be in line for a recall which I was disapointed about. I liked watching Chris Bryan do his thing and his big moustache.
Basically everything was positive.
Cameron Wood, Jaxon Barham and Brad Dick definitely all put their hands up for a spot in further AFL finals. Danny Stanley, Jarryd Blair, Anthony Corrie and Ryan Cook also all played well.
Nice to see a few of the cheer squad people down at the game. The commentators made a special mention of Daniel who was wearing a huge green cowboy hat. LOL.
Go PIES!

The VFL Magpies have kicked off their September campaign in scintillating style recording a 115-point win over the Casey Scorpions at TEAC Oval on Saturday afternoon.
Collingwood will now face the loser of the Northern Bullants v Williamstown match in the semi-final next week.
Jarryd Blair was best on ground with 33 disposals and three goals. Also accumulating a lot of the ball was midfielder Ryan Cook (34) and skipper Damian Peverill (27).
Omitted from this week's senior side, Brad Dick responded with five goals and 17 possessions. The small forward was rested for most of the fourth quarter along with Cameron Wood, both players named as emergencies for Sunday's AFL match.
Danny Stanley kicked four majors and was equally as dominant in the middle of the ground racking up 34 disposals.
Marty Clarke played down back and held his opponent for most of the match while collecting 15 touches.

Massive positive from the game today was the ongoing development of the Mo-Brigade.
I have long bemoaned the lack of facial hair in our team and these three boys, along with Sidey have put in a wonderful effort and the rewards were self evident today on the scoreboard.
Great work guys.

Blair was good too
Reid did some nice things
Once Rusling got the pace of the game he did some good things in the second half
Wood, Dick, Stanley and Cook killed them
Barham is a running/tackling machine
Goldsack was just cruising all day

Someone once called me Bastard, I replied "Yes but that was just an accident of birth, with most others its their own choice"
No complaints when you win by 115 points but we need to remember we had 21 AFL listed players in the side the scorpions 1.
It should have been a cakewalk and it was. Well done.
If I was Mick I'd only be looking at the first half to see who might be putting there hand up for senior selection cause it was a non contest in the second.

His disposal by foot was first class even when under pressure. Always is.
It's the type of skill that will catch Micks eye and should assure him a bright future at AFL level.
Played forward last year, half back this season.
The heir apparent of Tarks.
