They had their hopes up (including Walls) then we destroid them.........

best way to win a match!!! Only thing better is beating them by half a point.......

Its amazing how we spent the entire first half in 1st gear. The minute we went to second in the second half, you could see that we were going to win the game!
Work rates from Fraser and Cloke were sensational! Harry is a very clever defender and one thing I notice is that he is always aware of where the footy is! The two shaws getting into the game in the second half made a huge difference and Swanny and Pendles were just sensational!

Wasn't looking so great at half-time, but we outplayed them in the second half like we needed to. Today just shows how much we missed Didak.

Thank god Rocca deserved to lift his game in the 3rd qtr, it was unbelievable to see Whitnall beating him with ease in the first half

Just think how deadly we will be with Medders and Leon back in front with Didak, the major problem today was when it was kicked long to the square, Dids and Thomas were flying for the speccie and the Blues just waited for the crumbs and easy clearance

But we played a typical half a game like we usually do and now sit 5-2 and nearly halfway to a finals spot

BTW did anyone else feel like killing Nick Maxwell in the 2nd qtr when he gave away the stupidest free kick in the history of the game and handed Carlton an easy goal?

Sorry Johnno. Cannot agree with your opening stanzas.

Why would you be cringing at half time? Haven't 4 of our 5 wins happened in the second half?

Why this four quarters stuff? Have WCE won 24 quarters this season? I don't think so. Did they last season? Or Sydney, before that? No.

As I've oft stated, a good team absorbs scoreboard pressure from the other team and finishes over the top - or buries them in the third quarter and cruises home.

But if you only win the last quarter and finish in front, who cares that you didn't win any of the others?

I'm sure you were the only one, I felt like killing the umpire as it was so blatantly acted by Fev who am losing respect for.

As for the game such a frustrating first half, drove me mad, I coulda killed Trav in the second when he ran into an open goal and sealed our 5th behind straight.

However another brilliant second half performance, which was never in doubt. Realistically we controlled the game from quarter time just didn't capitalise.

Always feel very good after a great win against the pricks now we must destroy the dogs like they did to us last year go the mighty pies.

Nah completely correct decision by the umpire, Maxwell hit Fev from behind, it was stupid

But on the game it was probably the worst we have kicked all year, sure there were the usual 50m shots that slip away but atleast 3-4 different players missed from within 15m out, bloody annoying

BTW that 77k crowd , from the noise , vibe and flags etc. It looked like about 50k of them were Pies supporters.
