Would have been great to have Caracella out there today too - just to rub some more salt....
Still can't believe Rocca's crap kicking for goal in the past 2 games though... falling back into bad habit of a stuttered shorter run and not kicking through the ball?

But a very solid win, considering the number of players on the sidelines.

damn awesome win

I havent watched Essendon all year, but when they lined up I started to wonder what the hype is, realised its the same duds just with lloyd in that were shit last year, any other team would have beaten us when we waste that many chances, even Carlton :P

Burnsy was bloody brilliant, Heater, Trav, Coxy, Daisy were great, Pendles was a bit quiet but when he did get it was superb, doesnt waste it much

Rhyce and Benny Johnson need to learn to only play on when in the open, not surrounded by opposition players

Bryan wasnt too bad, better than Richards, but thats not hard, not the answer to our problems though but an improvement atleast

That gimme he missed from dead in front, on TV, looked like he'd run too close to the man on the mark and Shannon-Granted it (i.e. kicked it too hard)

Great, Great Win. Completely dominated the game for 3 quarters and really should have won it by 5-6 goals in the end! Very even performance and you would have to say that all the players contributed at times!

Made a mockery of the excuses threads that were started up about the 4 day break as the players were full of running in the last quarter! After all, what the hell did we spend $250,000 for to send the players to Arizona!

Great win and so satisfying to beat Essendum.
Harry, Pendles, Thomas, Tarks, Dids in particular were awesome.
Anybody notice how many easy free kicks they got in front of goal?

You say in jest surely?????
No, I bagged him last week, and justifiably so, but he played 10 times better today.

Had he kicked properly, he could have finished the game with 4 goals. He still really needs to work on his disposal, but he is showing his potential as CHF for the first time this year.

Whilst his kicking for goal was still a little poor, dont know why, at training he kicks 9/10, that shot from the boundary he kicked perfectly, for some reasons hooks them when in front but, he also had a few goal assists, his kicking around the ground was better this week

Fantastic win. So so happy. Heath was inspirational. Daisy had the goal of the year at his finger tips, but tried to take on one too many defenders. He is electric.

Fantastic win!It was a great effort by all the players today-we had 22 goers today who gave their very best for the club.I couldn't fault the efforts of any of the players. If we had kicked straight then we could have won by ten goals today!I also loved what Heath Shaw said when he won the Anzac medal-stick with us supporters cause we're going places.I think he just might be right. :)

Firstly what a win considering we had injuries and we were underdogs. I gotta say Health Shaw is a legend, he is a great player. Daisy played great as usual but "What if" he had kicked that goal when he got tackled, that would have been goal of the year.
Also was that Anthony Rocca goal outside 50 was that touched?????

Looked like it was touched twice: once by Fletcher, once by Dids.

An excellent win - wish we could have put the dons to bed with more accurate kicking.

Exciting to see our 2nd 3rd year players - Pendles, Thomas, Cloke, Harry, H. Shaw (loved his acceptance speech) as our dominant players.

Dick, Cox & toovey also played their parts.

Burns, Rocca and Clement were excellent BUT for mine overshadowed by the younger brigade.

I dont want to say sound like a wank%r but they did what I hoped they would do with an inexperienced side.

Take the pressure early....stay in touch and then run over them late. Well done!

Great coaching Mick - today was one of your best!

Its great hearing Essendon people on a well known bomber site, whinging about the umpiring yada yada touched goals yada yada. Didn't Essendon win a game last year because of another team kicking a goal for them? Fair dinkum they have had every 50/50 umpiring decision go there way since the 20k fine and now they sook.

Face it bombers... your team is soft, and have no heart, no spine and no future without the golden child. Suffer in ya jocks.
Get back on top.

They've won some games early this year.........but the jobs played by H.O.B, Presti, Jimmy ,Heater, Bryan, Tarks, Burnsy & Rhys were supurb. Between them them they blunted their inside 50 marks, and thus goals and their run from the mid. was stymied. Great accountable footy. To watch this game sees you watch a well coached team that analysed and then took apart opposition strength.
Kick straight and we win by 50. Great games C3 and how good is Dids !!
A wonderfully coached and exceuted performance.
