Excludes the NAB cup due to inequalities between games pre-season and those for four points. Blokes used to get rubbed out following an incident in the finals and sit out a few pre-season games without the club getting any real pain as a consequence of the players actions.magpiesgirl wrote:Yeah I heard that as well.Thought his suspension would include the nab cup also though
That said, Brodie was shafted anyway. Simple hip & shoulder that never should have gotten 6 weeks. No different than the Gia/Kosi incedent except that Montgomery was able to continue in the game AND still have a major impact.

1 question if we are late starters then why go to arizona ?
shouldnt our fitness base be the same as the roos

B: Nathan Brown - Shane Wakelin - Harry O'Brien
HB: Heath Shaw - Nick Maxwell - Ryan Lonie
C: Chris Egan - Ben Johnson - Rhyce Shaw
HF: Leon Davis - Travis Cloke - Dale Thomas
F: Paul Medhurst - Sean Rusling - Ben Reid
R: Guy Richards
RR: Scott Pendlebury - Scott Burns
INT: Ben Davies - Danny Stanley - Ryan Cook - Brad Dick - Alan Toovey - Same Iles - Chris Bryan - Sharrod Wellingham - Martin Clarke - Danny Nicholls.
Backs:
You would have to go with the balance Wakelin, Maxwell and Lonie mixed with the youth of Brown, O'Brien, Shaw.
Several players that can slot into the back half comfortably ie: Toovey, Johnson, Shaw, Clarke, Iles, Stanley, most of which can take on serveral roles. Young but solid.
Forwards: Very little experienced talls in there. Travis Cloke and Rusling to be the targets for most of the evening while i put Reid in there as a third tall which mixes with dangerous crumbers in Thomas, Medhurst and Davis. Serveral players can go in there. Will be interesting to see Brad Dick coming off the bench and what he can do for the team.
Rucks: Give Guy Richards the number 1 position, (apparently) hes in very good nic, which should get him through the night aided by Bryan who will play 40% in the ruck IMO.
Mids: Once again we have several players that can slot in here. Ive gone for some experience with a touch of youth.
Burnsy and Benny Johnson arnt afraid to put there heads over the ball and are seasoned campainers now with a touch of silky class in Pendlebury. Hopefully he can show why he was taken at number 5 on Friday.

Pretty quiet training session at Cararra tonight.
Circle work around the square, up and down the ground, and practising ball ups, feeding the ball out to Medhurst and Leon to have snaps on goal.
So many new faces, it was hard to tell who some of the young guys were.

No, it was Didak, Anthony had a shocker that night.favourites 2006 wrote:Wasn't it Rocca who starred.. think he played 1 half by memory and kicked a bag.Johnson#26 wrote:Ah yes! Good point, Ray. Wasn't that the match Dids kicked five? Might have to add 'premiership' game to the intro. Nice trivia fact, that, appreciated.
