Presti still owns Richo.

From my front row seat in CS. If you have something negative to say about that game. Then you have rocks in your brain. Tigers 5 goals from free kicks. Not a bad start to the year. What a comeback. What a win.

Thank God Psycho didn't kick straight. He ran Presti around all night. At least it's nice to see Presti fully fit before the real thing starts.

Might I just say, Richo's little tantrum (and the following 50m penalty) was more entertaining than any goal we could have kicked. It truly made my night. And didn't you just love the classic:

"Richo is a w**ker!"

Ah, gold....

When we looked up at the replay it looked like he ran from the edge of the big circle to just outside 50 that would be easy 30 meters give or take a meter. Will have to see it on the fox replay. Maybe he takes very big steps.

If you think that was good football against the wooden spooners your kidding your self. I am happy we won, but can see we need a lot of improvment. Don't lose sight on who we beat and just at that. A win is a win I ain't getting excited over that performance. Heaps of positives yes, but a lot to dislike. In saying that it's early stages and a lot can change in a week.

rowe is a player to watch. tex,s haircut could be the difference this year,he looks ready & pumped. lica just keeps rolling along, 31 scoring shots with a full forward line for a change looks promising and dont forget the genral cool calm & collected (alla morwood) down back. please people look at the positives rather than the negatives, we all knoe 2004 was a year packed with them.

Good point LC. A game we needed to get rid of a few cobwebs.

If anyone thinks that is the best side we can put out there then they have rocks in their heads.

We carried all our duds in a winning side, thats a positive. Cam roughed up Tambo, just what I wanted to see :D Richo spat the dummy. Tigers supporters are whingeing. The umpires took a whole qtr to start screwing us yet we got the better run according to some. We are still favourites for the spoon. We know we can do much better. The biggest positive is we won a close game and ran a team down instead of the opposite which usually happens.

We still have some good additions to make to that side, from tonight, Caracella will be a huge addition, he hopefully has more sense than Leon and understands the basics of forward pocket which Leon still hasnt learnt

What a great night

Just got back to Bendigo after the game. Good, gutsy first up win. Like someone else said, the Tigers got 5 goals fron rediculous frees that also stopped our run ons. I cant believe some of the negative comments here but it takes all types to barrack for Collingwood I guess.
Read an article in the Age today about how unrealistic some Collingwood fan expectations are. Reading this thread only confirms this fact. We played our FIRST real game against Richmond who only had Cohglan out of their best team. They were real keen to win and had a red hot go all night. Got some lucky frees that helped a lot. Played Collingwood minus Bucks, Did's, Carrotseller, Locks & Davidson. And still lost.
We won a glorified practice match. End of story. But lets give credit where its due. Well done pies.

Well done Pies.

Accuracy is still a bit of a problem but I am not complaining ... it was a great game of football. Perfect for the season opener.

Remember the Carlton game last season ... we were in front and they came from behind and won. No one blamed Carlton for giving us the lead. So to the people who see all negatives ... cheer up.

Didn't it warm your hearts to see us come from behind and win? Let's cherish the moment.
