Williamstown has arrested a month long losing streak with a gutsy win over St Kilda aligned Springvale. The Seagulls were not confident that their 17 point three quarter time lead would be sufficient in the windy conditions, but they managed the first goal of the final quarter and held on strongly to record their first victory in five games.

Collingwood listed players led the way, with Luke Shackleton continuing a purple patch of form, winning over 30 touches, and smaller runners Swan, Heath Shaw and David King earning praise.
