The fact is Martyn goes missing more often than not when the heat is on. Lets remember that Martyn is in the team PURELY for his batting. If there isnt another batsman who can bat just as well as Martyn but can bowl and field better then i will go jump.

Lets not forget that Brett Lee had a pretty good world cup as well and so did Brad Hogg. You can only live of past performances for so long.

The Torres bounce is officially dead. You are walking alone now Fernando.

Yes, I think Katich should get a run.

With regards to yr past performances comment, one can agree with that. However, at least 2 of that 3 named have some sort of outstanding performance to their name.

With all due respect, I cannot really give Harvey too much leeway on that score. I can recall some good performances with the ball which could justify his inclusion but as an all rounder no-way. Dyso, I fear those 6's may have been against Valleyview home for the Blind.

With regards to selectors perseverance, it took HOW long for Symonds to come off at this level???

Brett Lee was our best bowler in the ODI's last year.........that's right - last year. I'll admit to having a soft spot for the bloke because he is a class bowler who's having a rough trot atm. He is one I'm willing to stick with because I still don't think we have anything better to replace him with.

I'm a sandgroper but I have to say it's time for Marto to go. Katich is just too good to be leaving out while carrying someone.

As for carrying people, I think Bevan's time is almost up. 2-3 years ago he would've brought that game home....I don't think he's got what it takes anymore.
My oxygen is Collingwood. Without it I die.

I think now is the time for either D.Hussey or Katich to have a shot at the ODI's. One of those 2 could play the Bevan role in a few years of guiding us home and to give them ago now for experiance would be a good idea.

Wombat, don't go sledging Valleyview home for the Blind, they field one mean-ass cricket team!
