So as of 11:59pm Friday (If anyone can explain why that stupid time I'd love to hear it)
Seems the justification is high vaccination rates which is fair enough.

Now to wait and see about the mandatory vaccination for workers rules, they should be able to be removed in all but high risk settings.
Patrons will no longer have to show their vaccination status at any venue;
Check-ins will no longer be required at any venue;
Masks will no longer be required in schools, hospitality, retail or any events;
Close contacts will no longer have to quarantine but will have to wear a mask indoors, avoid sensitive settings and record at least five negative rapid tests over the seven days that would have been the self-quarantine period;
All restrictions in hospitals, except for mask-wearing will be removed;
Events with more than 30,000 people will no longer require public health pre-approval;
People who have had COVID-19 will now be exempt from testing or quarantine for 12 weeks, up from 8 weeks; and
Individuals will be required to notify their workplace and social contacts. Workplaces will not have to notify exposed workers.
Seems the justification is high vaccination rates which is fair enough.

It's silly, would have made more sense to make it from 5pm Friday so people could go out Friday night.
Anyway, looks like Dan's Plan is to not renew the Pandemic order when it expires in the dead middle of winter.

Once those orders expire, so do all restrictions including mandatory workers vaccinations, requirement to isolate if tested positive. Now he's not saying he'll definitely do that, he doesn't know what the health advice will be at that time, but the guess would be there'd have to be a really good reason to continue them, considering:Premier Daniel Andrews intends to end the pandemic declaration in July and scrap all remaining COVID-19 restrictions, as Victoria prepares for sweeping changes to the rules to take effect on Friday.
Victoria COVID-19 response commander Jeroen Weimar will also be leaving his role at end of April, after almost two years at the helm of the state’s pandemic response.
If the premier extended the pandemic declaration for three months beyond July, it would run into the November election campaign.

Good for you, I'm not getting tested unless I get sick, then I'll think about it. I've had enough of isolating but having said that, I'm not going to the match, I'll watch on TV. Simply CBF.
I went out for Brunch yesterday, they asked me for my vaccination status and I was Huhh? Isn't that finished? The tiny chick said "no, that's tonight" so I apologised profusely and showed her my Covid cert. Really yummy chilli scrambled eggs with a side of bacon.
This morning cruised into Aldi to check out the Saturday Specials, got served by someone who's been there for years but today was the first time in 2 years I've seen her face. I asked how it felt being mask free, she was stoked, said she woke up this morning excited to go to work.

It's amazing, haven't had to wear a mask for months and despite Covid being more rampant than ever, still haven't caught it.
Pretty much everything that was banned during Covid has returned including shared meals at work, water boys at the footy, shared tea breaks at cricket and still not being spread.
Maybe none of those things actually prevented Covid in the first place.
