Can any of our players kick a goal from a decent angle from a mark on the 50? On Saturday night Bros Daicos both had a couple of opportunities to have a crack but elected to kick to the square instead. Their old man had them sail through regularly.

The other baffling one was Crisp streaming into the arc, no one in front and free passage for a flying kick for goal and he elected to try and find a team mate. He's been known to drill those. I think Pendlebury had a similar opportunity and did the same. Maybe kicking so many points was playing on their minds.

We kicked, what, 14 points?

If 2 or 3 of those had gone in, like they should when you're 20-30 metres out straight in front, we win.

Pathetic misses like those cost us the game, regardless of how poor we were.

We could have gotten out of jail and pinched one but no!

Cameron missed a set shot from basically the goal square.

There were other very gettable shots as well.

As McFly said, it’ll take time to teach these guys how to win.

Not only did he miss a sitter but the ball then went to the other end where Langdon dobbed one from 50m. Must be totally demoralising for a football team.

Exactly. Plus take away that bs free against Moore which scored a goal for WC, and the game was only decided by a kick.

Bombing it long in hope to the forward line.. missing crucial, gettable set shots in front of goal.. making basic skill errors.. it was buckleyesque. We lost cos we played poorly and reverted back to these ways and paid the price as a result. Can't blame the umps when you can't kick straight and you're running at 58% DE all night. It's gonna take months to undo all of Buckley's constipated coaching but at least we're showing signs improvement.

Player of the Week

Brayden Maynard

His tackles alone would sell it

what you saw against the eagles was a team that cant afford to be without its best player, and its best in and under player (and an in game injury to its only x factor forward).

We will give a good account of ourselves in the first half of the season when at full strength (and that is great because it means we have a lot to build upon).

Agree. Reality is we should be 11th-15th by seasons end, prefer to be 15th for draft picks. Need a kpf.
