I presume you only get credited for a tackle if it does stick, right?

Tough and uncompromising guys went a long way to winning a premiership for us in 1958

Murray (the Weed) Weideman and Barry (Hooker) Harrison took on all comers & the Demons pooed their pants

They spent half the game trying to even up with these two whilst the skilled ball players had open range to score

Barassi the so called hard man soiled his footy shorts

Vote for Beau

Beau McCreery's goal is (very deservedly) in the running for this week's goal of the year nomination. Chuck him a vote here!

Given the dimensions of the GMHBA shithole, Stengle was practically right in front when we snapped his goal

oh, but Stengle's was at a critical stage of the game, with the cats only 15 points up, and WCE playing for bottom spot!

The 31 gut set has run down the wing of the G before and that 31 was Phil Manassa

Then up comes Beay Mac wearing 31 for his long G run

I know he was buggered from the sprint but I wish he’d had a shot at goal instead of squaring it up to lipinski. And Beau outran Saad!

The results are in, and McCreery got the nomination (up against two pretty strong contenders, but he well and truly deserved it). Hopefully the first of many!

Nice! His foot skills are underrated, I reckon, because the focus has been on his tackling and defensive pressure rather than possessions.

I have a vision of him being the tagger from hell who can hurt you the other way. But even that might be underselling him; we of all clubs know how hard it is to find big-bodied mids.
In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.
