We’d also lose his experience for the younger players.

If he took the Suns offer would we get anything in return?

If the club let's Pendles go they are a disgrace. He is one of our best 2 or 3 players of all time and our young players desperately need his experience and mentoring to fast track their development.

After the way we treated Treloar last year, if we don't give Pendles a 2 yr extension then we are well and truly phucked.

Last one out turnout the lights. Pendles deserves better and a real chance at a flag that he was robbed of in the past 10 years.

Like Tom Brady I hope he succeeds wherever he goes. This club won't get Clarkson and will not be in the running for a flag for at least a decade. We are the new Carlton.

Amen brother. Go for established young mids by clearing out the older Champs who still have currency. No emotion, business decision.

Football is all about emotion. The reason we have been so hopeless this year is a direct result of the shabby treatment of a number of players last year. Spirit and camaraderie are all about emotion. If we lose that, we lose everything.

the salary cap doesnt care about emotion

we based our salary cap emotion and giving people what they wanted, that led to the offseason.

you can never pay overs as it comes back to bite you at some point

Disagree rudey. We need to be smart. I would love to see pendles do a Sam Mitchell. Good on him.

Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine!

If Collingwood were to let Pendlebury go at age 34 and when he is still our best (and greatest ever) player, what would there actually be left to barrack for? It isn't like we need the list space and he's being squeezed out.

Agree. Collingwood is solely to blame for their current predicament. Getting rid of Buckley was an unforgivable act, followed on by Eddie.Hopeless about assessing consequences of low morale affects players. The Buckley haters must be very happy indeed but not many of that mob seem to post here anymore. Wonder why?
