Both him and N Daicos have been the standouts so far this year.
Good to see he's elevated his game to another level.

Darcy Cameron appreciation

Post by kymbo5@yahoo.com.au »

Just wanted to say what a recruit this bloke has been. He is super consistent, does seems to fly under the radar a bit but week, in, week out, he gives 100%, takes wonderful defensive marks, works his butt off in the ruck regularly against 2 other ruckman and yesterday, he had Gawn who is a fantastic player and certainly held his own. Something not a lot of ruckman do against Max.

So grateful Darcy Cameron is a Collingwood player.

Oh, and his goal yesterday was soooo good to watch!

I'd say he'd be leading in the votes for the Copeland. Most consistent player for us so far this year.

I think Gawn will sew up the AA spot, Grundy not far behind but this guy is arguably knocking on the door of the AA40 squad.
It's never as good/nor bad as it seems...

Indeed, this guy has gone from the occasional [every 3rd or so] spud game to being very consistent. Definitely one of the reasons our centre square clearances via a non ruckman are at our best since Jolly [Grundy did it himself].
Get back on top.

What I like about Darcy is he isnt afraid to get down into contested packs to get the ball out, unlike many other rucks. When he is doing that and dominating the pack is when we are usually at our best.

Very underrated player. He's one of a handful that's gone up another level from last year.

His intercept marking abilities are first class.

Cameron has been fantastic all year, particularly since Cox went out injured, forcing him to carry 90% of the ruck-load. Will surely poll highly in the Copeland this year.
