You seem very hard on Darcy Rudeboy. It comes across as disproportionate to my way of thinking about an impressive young man who has had terrible injury issues so far in his career.

The notion of "It's up to him" can be applied to all people all of the time. My post or OP was that I really wish him well this year given his awful experience of injuries so far. I'm sure you do too. It seems puzzling that you appear to be quite hard on him.
I'm hard but fair WPT.

For the record, I reckon Darcy could become one of the best players in the AFL. Obviously the main obstacle to him becoming such a great player is overcoming his proneness to soft tissue injuries. That's not his fault, but hopefully this year can enable him to play some consistent footy which will give him more confidence. Clearly he has all the tools to be not a good, but a great player.

However, that will also require him to become more mature and to harden up his approach to the game. Without going into details, my mail is that he has been a rather unhappy soul for the past couple of years. He needs to embrace the fabulous opportunity he has at Collingwood and step up to the plate. I'm backing him to do just that. Go Darcy!

Some where I read that if Darcy can stay on the park he may well be our kick in player in the new AFL formatted 2019 game

Watching video footage of this preseason and to my eye at least Darcy has lost the final remnants of boyhood in his appearance and now resembles a young man.

Whether that equates to better luck with injury and a more intense focus on his football only time will tell but I think the growing pains at least are now behind him.

Over to you Darcy.
He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD!

Thanks Stui for posting that. The last paragraph brought back some memories when I got my school footy jumper with the number 30, pretty high number in the scheme of things, I thought if it's good enough for Peter Moore, it's bloody well good enough for me.

Thanks for that. I refuse to pay to read a paper that continues to employ Slobbo as anything other than a toilet cleaner.
Annoying opposition supporters since 1967.

October Trade period should be interesting. It's either the club's fault or Darcy's DNA etc.. Best to avoid Ben Reid part 2 for the next 9 years

Most of my favourite bands start with "M" - Mars Volta, Mastodon, Megadeth, Metallica, Midnight Oil, Misfits...except King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard ~
