GC favoured greatly in many ways:
1) Game in Darwin (temperature about 26 degrees earlier in the evening)
2) GC much more familiar with this ground
3) Both Cameron and Hawkins out
However:
1) Geelong unable to create a team strategy to compensate for the loss of their key forwards
2) Geelong's midfield (Dangerless) looks insipid.
3) Geelong has no credible ruck division (Conway did not look great, explaining why Scott kept Stanley in ruck despite a string of pathetic performances)
Don't think they are Premiership contendors.
Not basing myself on just one poor performance.
Basing myself on their response to adversity.
It was totally insipid.

Suck it Geebung; suck it hard.Jezza wrote:Geelong are falling back into the pack, which is great.
If we beat the Crows, we're only half a game behind them.
This has been my fav result all season, outside of our own wins!

As we suspected: remove Dangerflog, Dunderklumpen and Sniper Cameron from their 22 and it deteriorates into a shit-festa from there.
Miers, Blicavs, Stewart, Touhy and Mummy's-Boy only ones flying any semblance of a flag for them.
For GCS, Anderson and Rowell are just animals to watch.

Sydney stands alone as the only team to win their last 5 matches.
Collingwood & Essendon each have 4 wins and a draw.
Geelong has lost 3 on the trot.
Port has lost 2, as has Melbourne.
GWS 3 losses in last 5 rounds.
Carlton also 3 defeats and could go down, against Sydney, tonight.
