Gleeson has written an article in the age about how Ben Reid badgered Derek Hine constantly about this kid for most of this year.

Welcome to Collingwood, Joe
At Wangaratta Magpies, Joe's number was 16, which is a number available at Collingwood for next year. Will it be his?

No way Harvey was 177cm.

167cm when drafted and I believe it was a running joke that they increased his height across the years.

Blair was a slow and small inside midfielder who we forced to become a pressure forward.

We've seen with McCreery what they should look like.

This young fella has pace to burn and looks to have a skill set that will suit how we want to play under McRae.

If he proves good enough then at 22 he'll be able to provide greater depth and potential impact in his first season which is good when you've just missed a grand final by 1pt.

Welcome Joe.

The last time we were linked to a regional lad in his early 20's we overlooked him and took McLarty.

That player, Tom Stewart.

With Geelong sniffing around again I take this as an extra sign this lad is in with a decent chance of making a go of it at AFL level.

You've got to be having a laugh making that comment. Boomer Harvey? Caleb Daniel? Jarrod Blair? Champions, premiership players, most games in AFL (Boomer)... and that's just three. Plenty more.
