It was great to see Beams scream back into Brownlow contention with a run of cheap possessions after the heat went out of the game. For the record, he'd had 5 kicks for the match just before the Bears kicked their first goal, well into the third quarter. Hope he has a great night and gets 5 kicks in nearly three quarters again next week.
Brisbane's score was the lowest at the MCG by any team since round 6, 1962 and equals the Bear's lowest ever score from 1988. Short of Carlton achieving that, it couldn't happen to a better team.

Just another stat. Dustin Martin kicked 3 times as many goals as Brisbane. Which raises the question whether you'd trade the entire Brisbane line-up three times over to get Martin. The answer? Probably, yes.
