An interesting point --the accumulation and a kind of comparison

We entered VFL in 1897 and by 1936 had aquired 11 flags ,this being our
golden era

Thirty nine years our most succsesfull at 3.54 average years between flags
but from there a hard slog to fifteen

Hawks entered VFL in 1925 and had a hard slog till 1961 then their golden
era commenced and in fifty five years ammased 13 flags at one every 4.23
years

So our most prolific era a smiggin better than theirs

Huge risk with regards to O'Meara, only need to look at a player like Morabito at Fremantle you can have all the talent in the world but if your body does not stand up it is pointless.

The AFL/VFL is littered with the names of players who "could have been anything".

At some points years of low draft picks and leeching of talent to other clubs will have to catch up with Hawthorn. I think we are starting to see it.

Lol factor in our "almost chances" and we are miles ahead

Hawks 91 years for 13 flags =one every 7yrs

Pies 119 years for 15 flags = one every 7.9yrs
