It is a bit rich when the Swans take Tippett and Franklin. without compensation, and then get academy selections as well as FS. Then abrogate an agreement to move back to a smaller seating capacity stadium.

I think the next backlash won't be from Eddy and Inc. but in fact WA and SA clubs.

It would be extremely fresh to hear someone other than Eddie standing up to the AFL in regards to the help that the northern state teams get.

Don't get me wrong, I hate Carlton. I do. But the Lions are a team that are right up there with them. For me anyway. I'd love nothing more than to see Collingwood beat them in a Grand Final. But those 2 teams might not face off in a GF for another 100 years.

Thats whats happening, David Koch is certainly a vocal critic of cap concessions, if anything perhaps the SA teams could claim a NOWTCH (No One Wants To Come Here) allowance.

Regardless of any of it Brisbane are definitely tanking for those little old cap concessions. We played ok last week but for any team to be scoreless at quarter time in their largest drawing home game of the year, when every one is watching smells a bit fishy.

A loss to Essendon next week could be curtains.

Sad to think that we're in a competition where we are in round 18 and two teams have one win each.

Gees' Id love a draw. 8)

It would be hilarious if it was a draw, but based on current form I'd back the Bombers to win especially at Etihad.

It's funny that Essendon has played with more heart and interest this season than the Lions have all season. I would not rule out an Essendon win, it seems that the Lions are not interested and might be time for Leppa to just walk.

Half his team may just do so anyway.

I reckon he'll get the chop.

There's plenty of ready made guys out there that are a much better option.

According to the article, assistant coach Simon Black has already announced his departure with Shane Woewodin and Gary O'Donnell soon to follow.

Players from their leadership group, including Rockliff (Has been talk that he wants out), also made a presentation.

He is/was always on a hiding to nothing, inheriting that list from Voss.
Three years coaching that talentless rabble, with a myriad of disillusioned homesick players who can't leave fast enough.

One could argue that he had as much hope as Neeld had in turning Melbourne around, or Watters trying to unify st.Vomit some years back.

You know you're travelling well when you suffer a 10-goal thrashing in the final game of the year but that still improves your percentage!

^ Classic.

Thankfully they didnt lose by enough and Essendon are no longer spoon free since '33.

I'll be forever grateful for that.

So...... Keep Leppitsch.

Had three seasons with the Lions and they deteriorated with each passing year.

Right call to sack him.
