Michelle Payne couldn't even bring these flogs back from the dead at 100:1.

0-10.

When was the last time we saw a team on 0-10?

They looked like they might get passed the Saints, but couldnt hold them off in the final term.

Essendon playing ok against the Tigers right now. Next week's game could decide the Wooden Spoon.

They'll win next week. Surely. If not, it'll be like 2001 all over again.

Haha maybe it'll feel like that for Ross Lyon. I was thinking more Fremantle's 2001 AFL season:

Please tell me you didn't independently remember Freo's 2001 season?

What's even more strange is that Fremantle's two wins in 2001 were against sides who finished in the top 8 that year.

Finally recorded their first win of the season.

Almost relieved as I didn't want their first win to be possibly against us in round 14.

When will their second win come?

Here's their next 6:
Lions (Gabba)
Port (Subi)
Pies (MCG)
BYE
Dees (TIO)
Cats (Subi)

2 wins in a row and two huge winning margins.

They've surly avoided the wooden spoon now. Essendon and Brisbane will fight that battle out. (They play each other in round 18 at Etihad).

Sadly for us, it seems that Freo have found a bit of touch. Sure, they've only won the 2 games and those two teams are last and second last, but it's still a little annoying that they've found some touch and confidence when we play them after the bye.
