Holy crap at Wood and Brown, completely owned it.

Racer, Medhurst, Davis, Egan all good, really like Racer's game (bar some wayward kicking).

Cloke went a bit missing but with Pebs on fire it was fine.
collingwood.. bowl them over

Bloody brillant guys thanks for the wrap sitting in melbourne town after a gig in bendigo. Joy to a man's heart after a good gig thanks! good to hear about Wood and brown, shame about Rusling though hope he's okay.

Positives:

Brown:
What impressed me about Brown was when the ball was on the deck he handled it very well for a big guy. His disposal was excellent and he was cool under pressure. Has pace and seems to have good stamina. Saw him make a few good clearances - however, didn't see the one on one contests with Pavlich very often - will try to sus out the replay. As he played on him there must have been fair few. Brownie looks like he has the potential to be just what we need.

Wood:
From his opening tap to obree, the kick off the ground to Fraser coming out of the ruck (Fraser should have slotted that one), to his tap to Didak in the goal square, also was it wood who tackled sandilands when Rocca split the pack and goaled (unsure about that one) plus soft hands tapping to advantage it was a great debut by wood for the pies.

Rocca:
Back to his best

Egan:
Kept on going - his best game so far

Room for improvement:
Collingwood always start the year slow - their will be huge improvement by about round 5.

QUESTION
Is N Brown ready to take on N Brown? :?: [/quote]
Collingwood since 1972. Luv da pies!

WOW

great game by N Brown. very good spoils under pressure. and on pavlich

wood was awesome his 2nd efforts were great way better then the rucks last year :)

have to say one downside was us not punishing freo on there mistakes . eg when we intercepted there kicks out from a behind we didnt punish on the scoreboard.

Medders, thomas, swan, pendles, rocca, wood, brown, obrien, BOTH SHAWS, gee everyone was solid

wat a goal by leon.

egan was good but he shits me at times.
marty clarke still needs work poor game. he is still too slow to get rid of it.

ill have more later :)

23 or so degrees. Gentle breeze. 6 back of beers and a new couch. Footy's back and we're in the winner's list.

It's a beautiful, beautiful life :)

Nathan Brown.

Cam Wood.

Great to see em up in the 1's. Yeah yeah... they're kids - making no crazy judgements, but welcome to Collingwood, boys. You played well today.

Groaned a bit with Racer's pass to the members, then was stoked to see him hit tit after tit thereafter. Good game.

Daisy I thought played well. Was there and abouts a lot and stepped up as required. Looked a bit better than last year.

Go Dids. You're a legend.

LEON!!!!!!

And what about Pebbles?

Wiz got too many kicks on Harry. Heheh... Nah seriously. Wiz was effective... heheheheh.... Yeah nah nice one Harry. Pwned him.

Loved Swannies mark. And was it Maxwell who did that chase and tackle in front of the members in the first? Pendles' smother. Pebbles' intercept. Dids' effort in the square. Leon's effort from somewhere out around Nar Nar Goon.

But I was worried about Pavlich. Thought we had nobody to take him. Nathan Brown? Well done son.

Will take that win with a big old smile. It's 1st round so was expecting skill issues and players being run down. We were a bit scrappy at times, but that should come good in the next week or two.

Good to meet you Joffa. Thanks for the chat. Enjoyed my first winners circle too. Go Pies!!!!

Tarrant was shocking today (6 disposal).
The Dockers must be wondering what thet were thinking doing the Medhurst/pick8 trade with us.
After 10 years in the AFL Tarrant should be better than that.
I know his not our problem now,its just an opinion.

When he missed that goal could not help thinking he still has collingwood in his heart. Seems to be going backwards. A shame for such a talented player - a long way from the 2002 glory days.

Both his goals were sublime - which one did you like the best? I like his second goal, the pick up, speed on to the boot and precision kick had no element of luck, just pure skill and was a delight to watch.

Well done pies. All did their bit. I loved it how we rotated players through the mid field. Also Tarrant still cant kick.
