Davis should/will play. Have a look at the stats and the stoppages, he has had an impact in all bar one game todate this year.

My feeling with Davis is that it usually take him a few weeks to get going in terms of racking up the possesions, but he is always dangerous around goals, any forward pocket who averages more than a goal a game is a dangerous player, he is laying a lot of tackles and has kicked a few goals this year, remember he was out of footy with a broken ankle at the end of last year, he would still be looking to find his touch. Watch out when he does!

If Medhurst is fit bring him in for Dick, I like Dicky, but he is very light framed and I wouldn't want to see him get rubbed out by the more solid Crows. Also Medders will add another dangerous avenue to goal.

I PROBABLY have mixed memories of going to AAMI Stadium as a player.

I remember a game two years ago where we got smashed, but I have some great memories from my days at Essendon, in 1999 and 2000.

We'll need a couple of crumbers, because Adelaide have a great tall defence, and you would think Rocca and Cloke will find it difficult. We'll need Leon to snare a few miracle ones if we are any hope. On the other hand, our defence should match their talls. Clement always enjoys playing on Welsh, Presti should be a match for Perrie, and O'Brien will be an exciting matchup on Bock.

Hudson v Fraser i think will be interesting. Fraser will win easily around the ground, but Hudson is a good tap ruckman and played quite well against Sandilands.

Adelaide's midfield predominantly struggles against ours. They are pretty evenly matched. I think we are a real chance if we make the most of our opportunities.

Bode and Reilly definitely aren't playing. Burton, Welsh and Polyzia(cant spell his name) are unlikely.

In: Medhurst, Lonie
Out: Dick, Cox

This kid is going to be a star! He needs to mature as a player in the VFL. We'll need a player like Lonie for the match v Adelaide. A guy that can punt it quickly and effectively into the forward line. Meddy will help our accuracy. Cox an undeserving omission. Davis will play! Expect him to play a role in the midfield.

Cox will play he has been really good i hope the kid plays every week from knopw on. His form would keep him in the team. IMHO Toovey should be dropped before Cox.
Lonie should play a week at Willy or come in for Dick if Medders isn't fit.
Cheers

No way should Cox be dropped. Medhurst should come in for Dick, who has been very impressive, and has had a taste of what its all about. He will be back though, no doubt about it. I think that should be the only change.

I'm quietly confident about this one. Won't be shattered if we lose, as we probably pencilled it as a loss before the season started, but it is definately a winnable game for us. Need the forwards to fire. I think Medders, Dids and Leon will have a field day, 10 between them.

agree, Cox's 20 touches off half back on ANZAC day were quality and he filled another slight gap in the solid defence. These days most Backlines are getting shorter and quicker, which is why i like the look of blokes like Heater, Coxy and Harry down there

If Medhurst is not over his injury, then I can't see there being any other changes to our line-up. Assuming he comes in, then Dick will probably make way for him.

Medders for Davis?

Hard to suggest players to be dropped after last week.

If Medhurst is available for the Crows game I can see him coming in for Dick. That's not a swipe at Dick I think he's been very, very good considering he's probably 10 kilos lighter than he needs to be to play AFL week-in-week-out, and it's for that reason it would be a risk playing him against the Crows. He would be up against muture aged, large bodied Crows players which is an unfair proposition for the lad.
Aside from that I can't honestly say anyone is leaping out as a candidate to be dropped, which could make things interesting because the Pies are going to need Licca's (is he available???) power in the middle to stop the Crows from pushing our younger players off the ball in the middle.
The key will be how the boys go at reducing McLeod's influence from CHB.
Pies should win, and the Crows will definately flood with a passion.
