A typical pies performance, shit 1st half, wonderful 2nd half, this is one team that you never write off.

The general feeling at half time was Rocca must lift, had a poor 1st half but once he stood up we were a completely different side

Early on we also came out hard but seemed to come out too focused on the player, once we turned that agression towards the ball that also helped

Medders is a damn star, that brilliant effort to set up a goal in the 3rd qtr was just what we want, chased and chased and chased and made 2nd, 3rd efforts untill someone came in to support and set up I think Pendles? was great to see, it what we have lacked for many years, the pressure on the defence bringing it out of our forward line and then 4 great goals to top it off as well

Also Lockyer, Swan and Burns were brilliant all game, Locks is finally producing the performances he has always been capable of

Rapt in that win and always great to win because the oppositions full forward cant kick

What a great 2nd half burns and Rocca were awesome and obree very good but the kids how good was it to see kids playing well for us.
Wakes and Lonie might find it hard to get a game this year. and we still have Ried and Brown to have a crack also goldsack.

We won tonight without our three top b and f's last year and our best player over the last 15 years, we are a good team.

Don't worry about the first half, we had Fraser, Rocca, and Lica on the bench getting rub-downs, for the second half.

Its hard to come back from a game in WA. We did everything right to make sure we were there in the finish tonight.

Go Pies.

Our persistance and endevour is the best in the league, we cant ask for more than that.

Fantastic. I truly thought we were very nearly gone at halftime. Great to see that the win was fuelled by the youngsters.

One of the great wins!

What a game! what a comeback! Thats the second time in 3 games we've come back from a big deficit, something the team has almost never done in recent years. We have been a team who could fairly safely be written off once they were four or five goals down. Not any more!

There was an awful lot to like about this performance: No Bucks, no Daks, no Jimmy, no Rus, no Dutchy, no Johnno, - in fact there were only about seven players from our Grand Finals just four years ago. Instead we had Dick, Cox, Toovey, Pendles, Harry, & Daisy. Surely these guys don't have 50 games between them? Maxy, Swany, Heater & Trav were among our senior players! How's that look for the future?! And then there were the 'question mark' players: Cheesy was among our best, Lockyer probably WAS our best (him or Swanny for sure), Pebbles played the best game I've seen since the achilles, and Neon was everywhere. It was the best game I've seen from Clokey full stop. Rogan is playing the best footy of his career, and Daisy is going to pick up a lot of Brownlow votes this year - the hair won't hurt the cause! (he wont win it though, Swanny, Heater and Pendles will take too many off him!)

The few who had ordinary nights were guys who very seldom do. Presty, Wakes, & Maxy were a bit off the boil, but you couldn't say any of them played badly, and given the mayhem in our backline with Jimmy pulling out, they could be excused. This late change was the cause of much of our backline woes between the five min. mark of the first and the 20 min. mark of the second. Really the only guy who you could say had almost no effect was Richards, but I don't think he was on the paddock much.

And to those who say we sucked in the first half, watch again. It was really only about twenty minutes of the game that Bitchmound got away, and looked the better side, and that was because they were. Their young blokes were working their arses off, and hit every target.

Meddles was another bonus, he hasn't worked that hard in years. He might just fulfill the massive promise he showed in his first year or two.
Getting Bucks, Daks, Rus, Jimmy and Johnno back would be huge, but who would you drop on tonight's performance? The intensity, the tackling, the short game and the hard running into space the young guys managed tonight was gorgeous to watch.

I haven't felt this hopeful at the start of a season for quite a few years. If we work that hard week in week out we will be very hard to beat. The kids have got confidence by the bucketful, and that has really been the only thing missing from 'pie sides of the last several years. Clokey, Pendles, Swanny, Heater, Daisy, Maxy, and Harry are as good a bunch of kids as anyones, probably better, and although its early I LOVE the look of Toovey, as well as Dick and Cox (yes, I love Dick and Cox...very funny, god we're gonna hear variations of that joke all season!)

I'm making the big call early and I'll get shitcanned no end, but My pick for the 2007 Premiership is ...

Collingwood Football Club.

Go on, have a laugh. The last time we had a team with this much confidence was 1990. Anyone know what we're paying at the moment?

Well for 1 I would take Lonie any day of the week ahead of Egan, also got Bryan to come in and give us a ruckman who doesnt make you cringe every time he gets the ball

Brodie may find himself at Willy for a while untill he can force his way back due to his problems being discipline on field. Jimmy will definately replace Wakes, Licca will make way and I doubt we will keep playing the kids all year, probably about 10-15 games at most for alot of them, keep rotating them through around the senior core and once finals is out of the equation then throw them all back in

Great effort by everyone. I'm wiling to eat a little humble pie on Pendles, although he blotted the copy book there at the end letting kracka get that goal, but geez Eddie, our ruckmen ground the bitches down and spat em out. How about, centre bounce, Fraser on the tit to burns to Medhurst ,Goal :D And whats more, He kicked it. Something that docker bloke, tarrant :?: wouldn't have done. Great win fellas.

I truly take my hat off for this fine win. We were decimated in the back with Clement out and other injuries. We were getting thumped in the 1st half and then they came out in the second half and showed class, grit and desperation to put away the tuggers.

And if anyone has any doubts about whether MM should be our coach then take a look at last night and we can all see why MM is the man for the job. Well done MM, truly remarkable, brave and gutsy effort.

Crap first half, Richmond wiped the floor with them.

Do'nt know what Mick said to them at half time, but it worked. A different team took the field.

Hats off to the debs who took it all in their stride and did what they were out there to do.

and Leon's Banana Goal

Interesting what the changes to the side will be in the next few weeks. Clement,Bucks Johnno, Didak, Holland* all to come back. Plus Egan, Bryan will add pressure.

The great thing is of course Lonie can stay at Willie (Forever I hope) no more 20 metre kicks to the boundary.

* not sure if Holland and Licuria can both play in the same side
