I'm tipping that Cox will come in, maybe for Nicholls.
I doubt we'll see Didak before the ANZAC day clash. We have like a four day break between the Power and the Bombers games and with the lack of match fitness he may struggle to back up between the games, so it might be smarter to get him to play with Williamstown this week and then get him to prepare for the Bombers clash (assuming he's right to go), so then he's not in and out of the side.

Danger game for the Pies!
Confidence means a lot in footy and a loss by any margin to the Tigers will hurt our club and set back our cause more than just 4 points.
Last year we bounced back from an even closer loss to the Eagles and smashed a few teams. If this happens again we will be on course for a top four spot as key players like Holland, Buckley and Didak return to the side.
However, should we try to over complicate the game again we will be punished. The way to hurt Richmond is down the guts. Run hard and drive the ball long to a contest and be sure to have crumbers ready.
Provided we can maintain our intensity the Tigers will be no match for us.
Interesting to hear the players on CTV talk about how they are happy with their performance against the Weagles, when we get exactly the opposite from Mick.
Pies by 15 goals. Pebs to kick 8. Mag and Medders 5.

Pies have shaken out the cobwebs after a fast and hard Weagles game. Yes they have travelled west but they should have the class and determination to set up their season for ongoing success. With some valuable inclusions to return over the next 4 weeks Pies have to nail these winnable matches and bank them for the tougher assignments to come.
It's gotta be RED! He's gotta be spinning.

Im still sceptical as to whether all 3 will debut. 1 may be perhaps an emergency. However would be great to see.Podpicken wrote:The ins are Cox, Toovey and Dick. Don't know the outs just yet
I fear Trav and Dales spots may be under threat but really hoping they play as they will stretch the tigers defence. Interesting to see if we go with a backline of Clement, Wakelin, Presti, Maxwell and O'Brien. Seems overly tall against an undermanned richmond attack.

Yer, but Clem, Maxwell and O'Brien can play smallish. But I agree. We're probably 1 tall backman too many.DaVe86 wrote: I fear Trav and Dales spots may be under threat but really hoping they play as they will stretch the tigers defence. Again, Don't care about margins. Just the 4 points thanks. Last year we were talking by how far and it was a smashing. Of us!
6 day break less travel makes it a 5 day break against the Tiges who have 6&1/2 day break. So a win by any margin and any style (ugly or not) will be satisfactory.
I reckon the tiges will be spooners this year, but that doesn't mean they won't/can't beat us. They are one of our boggy sides as mentioned earlier. Can't afford to lose this one.
All that said, If we play near like last week (intensity and tackling wise)and lift our skills (surley the Tiges can't pressure errors from us like WCE) it should be a comfortable win. Tiges with 2 losses will be low on confidance but high in agression and intensity early. So important to try and get the momentum early and knock their confidence low and thus control the rest of the game. Easier said than done.
So Pies by 30 points. I hope and pray! My first game for the season and pumped for it!
