Iles (will be better next year with a preseason under the belt)

Taz has a good record against the Roo's. Frequently kicks a bag. They lack a pacey defender to go with him. They are tall and immobile.

Agree...time to play our best side...they need one more game to get their act together before finals. One good game from Rocca does not mean everything is ok. We still struggled in clearences in the first half, and Fraser and Richards need one more game to ruck together. A good team will belt us if we play the way we did in the first quarter. Yet again, we had a slow start...we cannot afford to do this in finals.

In: Bucks, Tarrant, Davies
Out: Cloke, Iles, Rowe

Iles is just not ready for finals, but i think he has a future. Davies should be our choice for finals, provided Davis and Thomas are not ready.

Pendles for C3 ,C1 for Iles.
Another weeks rest wont hurt Bucks or Tazz.

Kangaroos are very very tall. Probably not a bad idea to bring in one of C1 or Wakelin. Maxwell was exposed on Waite a few times and seems to have lost a bit of dash since the leg injury. His defensive skills have been a little poor of late.

Petrie, Rocca, Thompson, Hale, McIntosh are all very very tall. There is a new guy as well, dont know his name but his debut last week against the Hawks was exciting. Trav Cloke is a defensive option usually but he will be out. Worth bringing in another tall back, either Wakes or C1, or bringing both in and dropping Maxwell.

Dave86, wasn't Maxi improved against Carlton (after nothing much the week before and a shocker the week before that)? Didn't see it but his name came up a bit on the broadcast and he took 8 marks for a goal and 15 disposals. Sounds like a player on his way back into form to me.

Selection should depend on the Rounds' results. If it appears we can't get into the Top 4, we should rest some players (such as Burns, Presti, Bucks again, possibly Taz). Hopefully Daisy is fit - hate to see hime miss a month ans play a final straight up, as well as Leon. Pendles may need a run so we can decide whether he's up to a final (light Bulldogs could see him return).

I'm a big fan of Maxy's Tannin, but he was only okay on Sunday at best. Given that he still seems to be lacking some pace, Waite probably wasn't a great match up for him. Have no doubt he will come good, but at the moment he does look to be struggling a bit.

Maxwell really looked a bit lost on the weekend and was really given a run a round by Waite. He hasnt been able to pick up where he left off since the broken leg and as harsh as it may be to single him out, he cost us a few of those goals on the weekend...

Thomas to my mind will be a definite IN this week, along with Taz, Bucks and probably Pendles. My outs would be C3 (inj.), Illes, Rowe and Burns (he needs a rest before the finals).

I'm not so sure that Bucks and Taz will come back in this week. An extra weeks rest - especially for Taz - maybe just the tonic they need for a super effort in the finals.

Definite outs: Rowe (gone forever), Iles (will be good next year), Travis
Probable ins: Wakelin, Pendles, Davies

For the finals we will bring back the big four: Taz, Bucks, Travis and Daisy.

I'd like to see daisy in, but wether he is fit or not will be the deciding question. Def bring in pendles, and iles out, he had his spin, and did reasonably well. J.Cloke would be a good inclusion, and prob just rest taz and bucks again, can't hurt them too much, or maybe rotate the bench alot with them in... could be a hard team to be picking this week, probably almost as hard as picking finals teams!

Cheers 4 now
