We have had rather a mild summer here in Perth compared to weather in Melbourne. Perhaps a hot day wont totally be to our disadvantage.
Keeping Collingwood on its toes and a step ahead of the rest!

West Coast at subi? forget it...
Freo at Subi? we're a chance... it wasn't so long ago that we beat them there, and other times we came pretty close...
anyway, should be a good test. If we win, it looks like we've got a good season ahead.

Cox
Hall
Toovey
O'Brian
and Clement

are all from WA, so is Walker, Tarkyn, Leon...

not sure who else, but I would love to see Cox have a run, has been kicking some goals inthe intaclubs and is a handy size.

We just can't allow any space to their runners as they will carve us up. We have to make it rough Vic Park meat and mash potatos style footy. It we do this we are in with a in with a good shot. Travis Cloke should get a crack at Pavlich.

This weekend might be a great opportunity to let C1 have a go at evening the score with Pavlova. Last time, when Freo smashed us, Jason copped a lot of flak (unfairly in my opinion) for getting a bath from Pav. He was dropped after that game and struggled to get a game after that. Now that C1 is much fitter, faster, and in great form, this would be an opportunity for him to bury his demons from last year.

Pavlich

I have horrible memories of J.Clo "manning up" on Pavlich over there last year - Pavlich had 10 kicks and 6 marks to quarter time!

Start Tex on Pavlova. Bigger, Stronger and faster.

Last year when they hammered us, tex was one of our better triers from memory although the effort seemed to stuff him for the rest of the season.

Is it just me or does the FoxFooty broadcast have too tight a camera shot on the ball????... i would love to see a little bit more of the peripheral play - Well, i would in fact rather be there in person!

I'm sick of watching footy on TV!!! ... Bring on the season proper!!!

I don't think we will win this one. Hopefully I am wrong, but I'm more interested in HOW we play. I thought last week we played alot more direct and got the ball into the forward line quickly - that is what we must continue to do.
Only a few more weeks until the real stuff, so a good hit-out and no injuries will do me fine. A win would be a bonus!

Freo by 33 points.

Tex and Carracella have both been dropped - and rightly so. Apparently Iles and Cox are in line for a game, which will be good to see. I'd also like to see O'Brien and/or Heath Shaw given a run, but it then comes down to who to drop. I'd be tempted to rest Licca, but if we did that we'd be putting up a white flag. As much as I reckon Lonie, Leon and Johnno put in sub par performances last week, they need the run to try to develop some form. It's such a great position to be in, that we can't fit all our good players in the side.

no chance on Freo's form last week. Watched the game and they were very good as much as the weagles were very bad. We really need to stop having lul's mid games, if we can play 4 qtrs of footy we may have a slight chance.
