First innings points ? Why so negative, SoS ?
Nicholson and MacGill added annoying runs for the tenth wicket which saw NSW get 317 but Elliott and Arnberger have already knocked off the 17 without loss.

It will take only three days and maybe one session to beat NSW.
Sit back relax and enjoy

Obviously full points would be wonderful and would all but guarantee our place in the final but NSW made over 300 on the first day and our batting line up isn't exactly known for it's fast scoring so I think it will take us untill 3rd day 1st session to passs it. That dosen't leave that much time for an outright result especailly because form all reports the wicket is pretty good. Maybe the best chance is if Steve makes a sporting declaration or If our batters make a very big score quickly and set up the outright, but that is a long way off at the momment.
I just think if we should concentrate on 1st innings points away against a strong NSW team and then see what happens after that. There will be chances for outrights at home against weaker sides.

Bet it wasn't from his own bowling.
The Vics are being careful, this morning, and are 0/43 from 21 overs.
As I wrote that, Elliott carves Lambert over extra cover for 6 and followed up with a 4.

The Vics need to lift. 3 out with each player getting a decent start but no one going on with the job.

Hussey out for 50
Still no one to go on and get a big score after getting a start
Can White be the man to go on and get a 100 ??

Mc Donald is now out for 5
6 - 206
Victory will be even sweeter for the Vics coming from this position.
Time for a quick fire innings from Roach.

All out for 259 the last 4 wickets for 11 to the new ball with three being taken by MacGill and having a lead of 58 runs.
Oh well NSW can enjoy their time in the sun because the Vics will hit back hard and will win by tomorrow as predicted.
