Inzi made 51 and Moin Khan made a possible Test saving 137 in a total of 463, 100 behind.

Tuffey took 5/87.

N.Z. are 0/4 at stumps.

Well, well, well !!

Mohammad Sami and Umar Gul have smashed the NZ top order. They are an amazing 7/62 !!

Sami has 4/36 from 14 overs straight, Shabbir has 0/5 from 8 overs and Gul, 2/17 from 5.

NZ are in big trouble and only lead by 162 with 50 overs still possible.

From 7/52, Oram and Vettori have knuckled down and added 35 to nearly put The Black Caps in safe waters.

With 39 overs to come, Pakistan are still a chance but need to take the last 3 wickets quickly after tea.

Sami got the edge from Vettori (20) which saw an excellent catch by Taufeeq but then bad light and rain stopped play.

Sami took 5/44 and N.Z. were 8/98.
