Would cost alot, have to trade a J.Daicos to get the picks to do it. They will want a top 5 pick plus a pick in the early teens to start the conversation.

Can't just package up a bunch of non-AFL players to land a star.

Checkers is a big hearted trier, has a real go, but Oscar is younger, and maybe ust what our forward line needs, a quality FF. Yeh, offer the Crows the earth, within reason , for him.

Trade hypothetical: Pick 23 for Tarryn Thomas??

Personally flawed, but professionally capable with pace, polish and skill and 189cm. We seem to be one short of this type in our midfield.

Would you do it?

We have Ed Allan coming through in the squad already so I would rather stick with existing youth, Carmichael, Macrae and McInnes etc and not risk a "bad apple" being introduced to the club then go to the draft to stock up on best available young talent, unless a trade for top talent KPF is available.

I wonder if Giants or Weagles would come at Ginnivan and Johnson packaged together for either Himmelberg or Oscar Allen?

Speaking of WCE players, Bendigo lad Tom Cole fits the bill.
188cm / 83kg, a good user of the ball, balanced on both sides and has pace.

Need to get him before WCE ruins his career. Contracted with the club until the end of 2025 when he'll become an UFA.

Any 75-125 game mid / defender. We could do with some more experience and players that have had finals experience.

Stewart Dew's inability to judge talent combined with his petulant ignorance of existing Gold Suns players at the time is staggering. Consider these:

* Peter Wright: now a B&F winner at Dons
* W Brodie: dominated first year at Freo
* Jack Scrimshaw: key Hawk
* Jarrod Lyons: delisted and had a very good career at Lions
* Oleg Markov: as we are enjoying

Combined with these current players who've largely been ignored and dominating this year in their Reserves side:

* Elijah Hollands
* Jeremy Sharp
* Mabio Chol
* Alex Davies

Trust our list management is into Hollands particularly!

Aaron Naughton is a free agent next year. Just saying....

Have our doubts we could afford him; he'd be up there $$$?

Hopefully Baron Von Himmelberg, or Ben McKay aren't too pricey?
