Peter, either those odds are wrong or your local SP is dumb.
If you've already had a bet of $500 to $50 on the Pies, why not now take , say, $600 to $300 the Eagles. Whoever wins , you win!
Um, I'm assuming this guy's odds are for tonight's game and not for the flag.
The SP up here is more interested in Thugby League,so when he offered me those odds, well I took them.Yep I could afford the $50:00......Howard paid for it for my Tech refund......so when the PIES win I recon that $500 in my pocket is better than the SP's pocket.
He actually gave me odds of 25 to 1 for the PIES to win the flag......
Madness.......Yep I am BUT when an SP offers odds like that would you knock them back knowing what you know......
Any way I will either win $500 or loose $50:00 lets see what happens after tonight and then I will look at the next game and see what I am offered.........I dont recon that I can loose at all.

PIES FOR PREMIERS.... YEAH WHEN!!!
We missed 2002 to 2009,BUT 2010 was OUR YEAR.. WATCH OUT 2018 here we come.We hope!!
We have to smash these powdered up turkeys. Wakes must keep Lynch quiet.
Leon, Didak and Medhurst to crumb hard at Rocca's feet. Tackle hard and drive Hunter into the turf. Didak must stir up Chick and put him off his georgie fame. Leon can hurt Wirrapunda. Medhurst to turn the wet toast inside out. Burnsy to smash Selwood. Lead hard Ruzza, use your bulk mate. I'm bloody nervous.
West Coast down and out... balls. Sure, Geelong have stamped themselves as the out-and-out favourite, but if there's a team to have claimed contender status so far, it's Port Adelaide... and the Weagles dropped a final to them by a mere 3 points... with a 20 man squad. Tonight they are at home, their pride stung, will a full squad of blokes. What does Malthouse always say in regard to who's out? "The 22 blokes in the side should be good enough to win you the game of football." Judd's and Cousins' and Kerr's replacements are contenders who are desperate to prove themselves. We should be very wary of this team, and I see us as underdogs in this contest.
But have we been overrated? I'm not sure. Sure we travel well, sure we're near full strength (was Presti abducted by ET and ALF?), but that win over Sydney was... sweet. Best win in a long time, you sense we are running into our best form at the business end of the season, and that excites me like the publishing of the showbag list for the Royal Show in the Herald-Sun used to excite me as a kid.
I don't think I've seen it mentioned anywhere else, but Collingwood have been doing enough to win ... all year ... without blowing teams out of the water. For a team that tends to make such subtle statements, downing Sydney by 38 points was the equivalent of a 100-point thrashing by another team.
In a match that is going to be tougher than most expect, I pencil us in for a win. But surely West Coast are the value bet.
Thank God he team is in WA and not in Melbourne to hear the overhyped 'favouritism' rubbish been disussed by all and sundry. West Coast are missing THREE players. Yes, they are three GUn midfielders, but c'mon, suddenly everyone wants a piece of the Pies against the reiging premiers at Subiaco? Doesn't sit well with me. Don't believe the hype, boys, just play the game.
