Last 15 minutes was ball up, free kick. Carlton…

Don’t think we got a single free kick in the ruck all game? They mauled Cox especially and when the bounce went wrong, they just paid a free kick to Carlton.

But Gorman is the biggest Collingwood hating cheat in the league, he called play on when Cox marked in the 2nd only to be overruled by the other umpire inside 50.

I feel sorry for no14, he had a good game but he’ll never umpire again as he didn’t jump on the Carlton bandwagon.

When Cox was thrown to ground after his goal and bumping into the carton player - any reason that isn't given as a free to Cox?

I can only think it was because Cox said something to the caaarlton player to start it off. But geez how often do we get pinged for retaliating when the other player started it!

Umpiring was a joke. They got every 50/50 soft free in crucial areas that led to shots on goal. And we didn’t. Carlton had twice the free kicks by half time. Fine, don’t pay certain frees — but be consistent with both sides.

Nick Daicos held, jumped on, whacked, and no frees. De Goey and Pendies held/blocked at centre bounces. It started with the Gold Coast game when Hardwick bragged you can do what you like to Daicos and not get penalised.

Although the umps got one thing right, they didn’t give Curnow a red carpet ride like they normally do! He looked pretty annoyed. Lol

You rarely see Pendles remonstrating with the umpires about their (non)decisions during the break either, which says a lot.

26 - 15

No 50m penalty with 30 seconds left that would have had us kick for goal from 10m out.

Absolute ffmg farce. 50m to McStay in the last minute, blatantly over the mark. Absolute disgraceful deliberate calls.

I am loathe to say anything about umpiring, but that is effing bloody disgraceful. They gave Sydney how many pathetic frees, including some disgraceful ones like the magical mind-reading Cox deliberate, yet they miss the clear-as-day, unambiguous 50m to McStay? That is inexcusable. That was some very, very ugly one-way umpiring.
In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

I reckon I’ve commented maybe twice here
Normally I just think oh well
But whe the biased channel 7 commentary team keep replaying and saying wow that’s a 50m then you know the stitch up was on
What was the free count in term 4 like 9-2 ?
