Just get Reef back in. The guys got talent. Could be a serious long term player IMHO.

Jiath ….?
Interesting .
This kid has an element of freakish talent about him .
Seeing him in the scramble that is VFL , he didn’t do heaps but what he did do was …” who was that ?” Eyebrow raising stuff .
Athletic , skilful , play reading but needs a feed of “ Turtle Meat “
The Good , The Bad and the Ultra Ugly ….as long as they hold their marks, kick straight and never stop trying-the Magpie Selectors need to give them consideration .

Another interesting possibility relates to Parker .
Said to be omitted but named as interchange in the VFL team after playing only a Qrt last match
Something might be brewing there as Bobby Hill hurt an ankle at training .

I also noticed that Reef is named at CHB in the VFL with Ash at FF and the high leaping Farrant at CHF and 198 Eyre in the FP for his first game back

Ryan not named
The Good , The Bad and the Ultra Ugly ….as long as they hold their marks, kick straight and never stop trying-the Magpie Selectors need to give them consideration .

I agree entirely with one caveat.

I think that AFL clubs, by and large, are being conservative around concussions- I think it will be an automatic two game unavailability sooner rather than later.

There would be great concern around the deleterious effects of concussion and, naturally, the threat of legal action.

McInnes will be back for the North Melbourne game.

The game tomorrow is enormous for our season; win and we are back in the conversation for Top Four- lose and we are in the scrimmage for top eight position.

If Melbourne have heart and are not fracturing internally over their collective 'issues' on and off the field, they will really put the acid on the Pies.

If not, we can deliver a win against the odds.

I have not been this anxious about a home and away game for years.

Keep the faith.

Unless anything's changed and I've missed it, he's been named at full back in the VFL.

Very much agree with your take Warbuton Lad, I've been having the same thoughts & find myself thinking how this is the game that either keeps us in place for the "repeat" aspirations, or we struggle. Don't know why exactly, just a feeling about this game.

I hope our systems are stellar for this one. I think Fly & co are genius but have we got enough talent on the ground to pinch this, or even better, romp it in. I'm picking we'll be "up" for this.

Ash Johnson, Reef McInnes, Wil Parker and Jakob Ryan are all playing in the VFL game against the Dees at Casey Fields.

So seems like it will be

In: Hoskin-Elliott, Kreuger
Out: Johnson, Parker

With maybe Jiath being held over in case of a late out?

No goals today in the VFL.
Did spend some time in the centre though, had 5 clearances.
