Started the deconstruction of the back porch. After overthinking how I could keep the roof temporarily while building the new deck and struggling to figure out how to do that, I just went F it, tear down and rebuild.

So got to work today pulling off the roof. Aluminium sheets, not iron, 3 different kinds of screws and other complications which made it a PITA of a job. Being high 20's and a squadron of bush flies who think sweat and aeroguard are both aphrodisiac made it more fun.

Unscrewed what I could reach and cut the heads of the rest with the multitool which now needs a new blade, but we're underway and I can now see the clear plan moving forward. hope to have at least the frame up ad the new deck before Xmas.
Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.

Well done Stui. The benefit of retirement is having the time do these projects. I've completed a full ensuite renovation. The only other trades I called in were a sparky and a glazier for the shower screen. Really happy with the result and plenty of positive comments from visitors.

So, whilst on a roll, I've gutted the main bathroom. Installing a large bath and wall hung vanity. I purchased a laser level for the ensuite, it is amazing the accuracy rather using spirit levels.
