The Golden Jacket came out early in the last quarter....die4pies wrote:To be honest I can't remember.1eyedpie wrote: When did the gold jacket come out? They didn't show it on the telly. When Daisy kicked "that goal" would have been fitting.
4mins in I think
The whole night was a blur. The first quarter, 9 mins were played I swore that it was just 2 or 3. The game was so fast and furious. I think I am still spinning!!!
Heres the shot...

That was a beautiful football experience! I want that every week Pies!
Pressure, pressure, tackles and more tackles were the difference. We exploited them, and didnt allow them to rebound through the corridor.
Sooooo satisfying to see Rocca get one back on Scarlett.
The crowd was going off - great atmosphere, a truly great night at the G.
We MUST win next 3 weeks to set ourselves up and continue to gain creditability and confidence.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Marty Clarke last night
Dales goal (right in front of us!), Rocca, Trav, Welly, Medders...just a wonderful team effort.
Keep it rolling Pies!

Exactly. They're probably still burning their memberships and ranting about sacking MM! Gotta feel sorry for em!tcnthat wrote:God I love Nicks.
Where are Candles, Dakstar, Geek and the rest of the Negative Creeps now. Still at the 7-11 on the corner shouting for MM's head. Wankers.
Some people LOVE when we lose. Personally, I, as well as many others on this board, just love it when we turn up and play great footy.

Well, for a while now after every game the one thing that I had noticed was that the team wasn't playing with the same commitment that they did last year. There's no question about their ability - there's some stars in the team ... it was their heart - were was it! Well they found it again last night ..... God help any team they play this year if they play with the same HEART as they did last night ....
Still SMILIN

Lovely Swooper. Last night I deliberately told myself that no matter what happened I was going to stay positive and look for positives. Even if we lost I thought Geelong could play us into some form. Well, they certainly did that from Leon's opening goal. It was easy being positive last night (and that's why the atmosphere was so great). The test will come when the boys have a flat patch again. I agree we must shun the negative comments. We have a truly great side in the making here over the next few years. Look how young these boys are. If we can instill confidence into their performance they'll deliver - yes even flags. It was a massive team performance last night, but the Collingwood crowd deserves votes too. If I was playing, that's the atmosphere I'd want to be playing in.swooper wrote:Exactly. They're probably still burning their memberships and ranting about sacking MM! Watched the replay early this morning, what a great team effort. Hard tackles and relentless pressure broke the Pussies bodies and minds.
great effort by Leon coming back on and obviously playing injured. Putting game time into Wellingham is really paying off, the kid fits the side like a glove.
And when, oh when will Nathan Brown get a Rising Star nomination?
Congratulations to the whole team - every one contributed and worked hard for a great win.
Now to bring a similar application to the rest of the season - onwards and upwards!
PS: Question for those at the game: Did Fraser look fully fit?

No not 100% and he struggled in the hitouts. It's really a matter of timing as Josh seems to jump too early most times. But, he set up some brilliant stuff around the ground, playing a linking role between HF and HB. Josh gave everything last night, and all credit to him. I have to say Bryan was strong too. Good idea they rested Wood. He'll come back and he's a long term player for us - remember ruckmen mature later.rocketronnie wrote: PS: Question for those at the game: Did Fraser look fully fit?

Best performance by a Collingwood side in years.
Gee, I was on cloud 9 watching the tackling, been patiently waiting for the whole side to gel. Kicking was generally spot on, endurance levels almost set to "perfect". WoW - w h a t a preformance!
understanding stuff, with endeavour to overstand..

I couldn't get to the game last night, but was invited to a bbq with a bunch of geelong supporters from work. i wore my 1979-1984 duffel jacket, just to liven things up, not expecting much. But wow, was the best night I have had for ages with a bunch opposition supporters. Living down in Torquay and working in Geelong has been a nightmare with the smug b^&*)@^ds. When I left the wake, I drove through Geelong. Not a soul around. Drove down the streets, honking the horn and hanging out the window. Loved it.
Can't wait for work on Monday, going to get in early and get the song going, before the 8.30 meeting. Should be fun

That's right. One of his aliases was Greek Style and he gave it to everybody whether they wanted it or not. Haven't spotted his work around for a bit. I suspect he either died of an Ouzo overdose or threw himself off the top of the Ponsford Stand after the Hawthorn loss.frankiboy wrote: LOL, tcnthat, you seem to have confused 'Geek' with 'The Greek' (another of the 'Candles' ..etc aliases) . Then again he might have committed hari kari at the shock of our mighty win yesterday. Sort of set his plan for total club revolution back a few hundred years.

Think you haven't been around Nick's long enough, Spaniard my friend. He's made more comebacks to Nick's than, erm, I did to the last Caro threadjack_spain wrote:That's right.
