Now this week. Smash the roos and make us all feel a hell of a lot better.
Load of crap!
We will beat them if they are tanking like last year. They do not fear our retribution because we have been unable to deliver it for as long as I can remember. They continue to have bragging rights over us, and it looks like this will continue for many more years.
And smashing the Roos this week will not make me feel better about sunday's loss - only a flag will.

Retribution day.
Now this week. Smash the roos and make us all feel a hell of a lot better.
Even if we do beat them next time, big deal it's not the same. We're meant to win the ones that count.
Who's gonna remember round 12, 2008?
Countless GFs, our 1992 centennary match, these types of history making matches like on Sunday. We haven't won ANY of them against those scumbags!
That's why we bleed so much when we get beaten by this mob....

For 3rd degree: The current (and past) coaches haven't helped so maybe a little bit of tough love may work
And to be totally honest, I would like all our supporters to boycott the game next week to show them (players, coaches and administration) it wasn't just another game to us - it was the most important game of the year!
However, by the responses on this board and others, it seems that I may be out of touch, and beating carlton isn't that important anymore. If that is the case, so be it, I will just have to learn to adjust.
havent we beaten carlton more often than not in the last decade??? They've had a few wins...but i think we've been on top recently even though they have been close games.
A loss is a loss, the culture, fencebanger, that needs to change is us idiotic supporters jumping off the wagon and laying into the players who im sure are hurting as much as us.
The culture and mentality of our club is defined with how we bounce back next week from this humiliating loss. A poor club will lose confidence and give a poor showing next week. A proud club will be unstoppable after such a poor defeat.
Lets change the culture as supporters and stay positive instead of having a sook everytime we lose.

This was the one game where the club had to deliver a win for the FANS. The players pretty much gave us the bird on sunday. Then the haemorrhoids come out and tell us there is always next week, well, no shit how intelligent is that, i expected more even from footballers. What is the world going to be invaded by Aliens or some shit fellas. Has the G been overran by American gophers who eat soft marshmallow footballers, are the boys too scared to step onto the surface next week knowing their fate is being ripped under the G and munched on by furry little critters.

It's also defined in how we got ourselves in such a mess in the first place.
That's what needs attending to, otherwise we'll never get to the core issues at our Club.

I'm into asking the questions. Especially when the answers are screaming at us. To do otherwise is supporting the status quo ~ something that falls way short of what should could can be.
For MM to come-out and say that Carlton's team of losers is better than ours, is outrageous. What's to say about that Dave ~ anything? Carlton play a different team next week, just as we do too. Crunch-time was last week. Next week has nothing to do with the issue.
It was for US to beat them when the opportunity, ripe and there for us to take, presented itself. That's gone now. We didn't give a wimper on the big stage. And not the first time. WHY?
We've won 4 out of the last 5 against Carlton. Our last loss before this was in 2005, round 20, when we blatantly tanked for priority picks (Pendlebury and Thomas) We won in round 4 that year.
That meanas we've won 5 of the last 7 including one bonus for the blues.
Sunday was the first time the blues have beat us properly since 2004.
Its not like they have a great record against us of late. This was a one off game.
The Blues were pumped up, they got on top and we had an off day.
Happens to every team. Even Geelong will lose a game along the way this year. They lost to port last year then beat them by 100 points a month later.
As i said, our culture is defined on how we bounce back.
Remember, we were the only team last year to not lose 2 in a row. It shows that we do not like losing and lift and respond the week after.
Rest assured, we will hit hard this weekend against the roo's
