Lockyer is the one i am really upset is still in there, atleast obree has played 1 or 2 good games this year and is leading our tackling count. Lockyer has deadset just done nothing. Yakka deserves to be there over lockyer by far.

Bloody crazy. Yakka shows a bit so we drop the poor prick, WTF!!!!!!!! only thing i can think of is that Malthouse see's that he is going to be one of our future midfielders and wants to test out D Swan to remind himself that he was a hack?

I just think we are dropping blokes who have a real go like Yakka and C2. I think c2 problem is that he has been played out of possie all year. When he came on the seen he was a fwd - and a good developing one until he was injured. Since he's been back he has been asked to sway between CHF and Ruck - that is tough on a 20yo. I think we're judging him harshly.

I think Richmond will be able to seriously stretch us on Sunday.

I am bewildered that Yakka is out and senior blokes who are playing worse are being kept.

Yakka dropped is harsh, but someone mentioned his pace earlier, I didn't see any pace on Sunday, he is as slow as McGough if you ask me, but has good disposal. Was repeatedly outrun all game but knows where to go to get the pill and can use it.

I think C Cloke has shown absolutely nothing so far and Fanning is a much better choice. Personally I would have tried C Cloke and Fanning ahead of Walker though, Tex has really struggled for mine.

King still not playing is harsh, he needs and deserves a run. But Egan in, with Swan, and Davies staying in, with Fanning in, IS a big change and hopefully a start of things to come. Over the next few weeks bring back in Yakka and then Rusling, H Shaw etc over time, no coach is going to bring in half a team of first gamers in one or two weeks.

If Fanning has to play, it would have been better keeping Cam as the 2nd ruckman, unless Mick is going to go back the failed experiment of Walker on Richo so he can have his usual 8 or 9 shots on goal

Atleast Mick has seen the light and going for draft picks, maybe he has his eyes on winning the VFL premiership? Who knows what that dickhead is thinking
He, and anyone else, has more clue of the game than you.

What exactly has Cameron Cloke done this year that has been good?

Firstly, I see no necessity to call our senior coach a D------d, please withdraw.

Swan in over Booch is patently absurd, who drops a player who was among our best the previous week for a guy who has had several chances & shown nothing whatsoever?

Egan has yet to dominate a Willi game, he clearly has talent but his kicking & endeavour are lacking thus far, whereas Kingy has been among the best for Willi.

Tarks is a great player & will regain form but is seriously down at present.

I can think of no answer to this except tanking. The thought of a Collingwood team deliberately losing sickens me & is something I never thought I'd see. A sad day in the history of our great club.

Why can't we at least have the decency to be honest and admit we're tanking & expose the stupidity of a system which so richly rewards failure?

IF you are tanking then you have to tank early, otherwise you may win more than another team and get #2 pick. We will probably see Billy Morrison at CHF, Brent Hall at CHB and Williams at FF against the Hawks.
Get back on top.

It's about time the AFL change the system to lets say, a priority pick goes to club which finishes 9th thus clubs striving to finish in this spot keeping the season alive to clubs like ours where we know in reality we probably won't make the eight but to finnish 9th is a big possabilty and we could give it a shake and still reap some rewards and have some wins on the way instead of this "TANKING" buisness. I hate it and I am guilty of telling workmates that finnishing last would be the best for us this year but in reality I want the PIES to win every week not this, oh shit will we win more than five games and miss priority pick or will we finnish above Hawthorn if we win this game or that game. Lets have the mentality of lets just win as many games as we can!

Tanking is the only way, tank on.. And keep them injuries coming boys.. Its all about the big picture for me this year.. I dont want to finish 14-12-10-9 for the next four years.. tank ON.

We still get priority picks if we finish second last don't we?

I'd rather we not win another wooden spoon. Just imagine the bucketing we'd get from other team's supporters.

Imagine Round 20 against Carlton if we were odds on for the spoon... *shudder*

I like that idea one-eye! Why not reward the team that strives to make the eight rather than penalise the mso heavily. 9th is the worst possible spot on the ladder - no finals, no decent picks. And even then we have to hope its a year when theres someone worth tanking for, who do we have our eyes on? I know Riewoldts got a younger brother, and theres a younger Selwood who's apparently very good, but more productive would be to swap thoes picks for a Josh Hunt or the like who has already proven himself at the top level. That kid has the lot, fantastic skills, good, solid build - we need to make sure that kid's wearing stripes instead of hoops next year.

But of course no player will help until we find out what happened in September 2003. I've asked the question a hundred times and still haven't got anything resembling an answer.

Just remember guy's the stigma that goes with winning the spoon. In years to come we won't remember the number 1 picks we got for finnishing last but the record books will remember the number of wooden spoons!

He definately has pace but apparently he was really really tired last week after trying his guts out. THat is the apparent reason for his ommission this week, to give him a rest. He was cramping up during the freo game. His lack of pace was pure fatigue. But he does have some pace.
