"Welcome back. Yes folks, you could win a wonderful prize by quoting the most memorable "Classic Quip" of the World Cup...
Just send your entries to Nick's BB C/O Cricket Forum"
The other night while watching Gilly bat Ravi Shastri commented "He has an eye like a dead fish"...LOL Is that some sort of compliment or what?

LoL damn funny guys I want to hear more! I can't think of anything except for the guy on the radio who was calling Gillespie instead of Gilchrist and my family and I were wondering what the hell Gillespie was doing opening the batting, sure he bowled well but somehow I doubt we will see him opening for Australia one day!

Kerry O'Keefe on the radio is a classic of classics....his laugh used to annoy me but he is actually quite funny.
I love it when he tells a joke and he just laughs uncontrollably but no one else laughs at his joke...lol lol
The other commentators i like are the Indian commentators who come up with the best quotes and sayings etc....this was especially the case on the NZ tour. They are so funny

Kerry O'Keefe "My county said we're not much of the opinion of using spinners in one day cricket....then later on they discovered I'm not much of a leg spinner" *insert Kerrys laugh here*
Bill Lawry "Well they're right"
much laughter coming from the back of the commentary box

I've been waiting for a while to get a good commentator's quip. Haven't heard anything of particular note but Simon O'Donnell's closing sentence, a few minutes ago, deserves a mention.
"Well, ladies and gentlemen, we look forward to your company for the next match on (whenever) between India and ... India.
Donny.
THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN !!!!

Last night i think it was Tony Greig i could over hear talking on and on about how good Zimbabwe are in the field and how the total they will defend will seem bigger as they field so well. Not long after Gilchrist gets dropped...lol
