Holland have hit the second highest total of the 2003 World Cup.
Kloppenburg went on to 121 (6 fours, 4 sixes) and van Noortwijk crashed 134 from 129 balls including 11 fours and 3 sixes!
They enjoyed a 228 run partnership which saw Holland at 4/314 after 50 overs.
LJ Burger took 2/49 from 10 overs.

Davison fell for 75, caught on the boundary, of course, from 62 balls. Canada ended up with 196.
Oram took 4/52, Bond, 3/29 and Styris took two late wickets after going for 3 Davison sixes in his first over.
New Zealand should get these easily but 196 is high enough to be a potential embarrassment. Kiwis beware!

NZ have hit 20 from the first two overs but Fleming (5) has been run out. Astle hits his first ball for 4.
If SA beats SL, and NZ win tonight, SA and Kenya qualify in Pool B then third will be between SL and NZ and n.r.r. will decide the issue.
I'm not sure of the equation but NZ's nett run rate in the comp. is +0.402 and SL's is +1.396 so looks like the Black Caps need 200 very quick runs!

What a situation NZ find themselves in! They apparently set out to get quick runs BUT find their three top batsmen back in the pavillion.
So what should they do? Play steadily and make sure they win in case SL beat SA? Continue to try for the 9 or 10 r.p.o. they need to get their n.r.r. up? Play steadily for a while and re-assess the position at the 30 over mark? Mmmmm.
ATM they're 3/46 after 5 overs. Very interesting.
