After a late fightback from Moss (66), Berry (46) and McDonald (33), Victoria made 229 in their second innings.

Noffke took 3/43 and Dawes, 3/53.

Queensland now needs 40 to win outright.

Tasmania ran through the Redbacks, dismissing them for just 122 with Ben Johnson (27) being the only batsman to get more than 20. Gerard Denton took 5/40 and Andrew Downton, 3/31.

SA are doing better after being asked to follow on. They are 1/61 after 23 overs. David Fitzgerald made 29 and Shane Deitz is on 27.

The 2002/3 Pura Cup final will be hosted by The Queensland Bulls after they completed a 9 wicket win against the Victorian Bushrangers.

If NSW can outright WA then the last two matches - Vic v. WA and NSW v. Q'land will decide which other team plays in the final at the Gabba.

BUT, if WA can pull off a minor miracle (the Rogers/North partnership has just moved on to 271) at the WACA, tomorrow, they are also in the race and a win against Victoria would qualify them for the final!

The Rogers/North partnership has now reached 300! It's a record 4th. wicket stand against NSW. If they can get another 33 runs they will hold another 5 records!

Rogers is 157 and North, 145 and WA are now 68 runs ahead.

Assasin is feeling a lot better. Lol.

Well, Chris Rogers and Marcus North knocked over all sorts of records in their 369 run partnership.

Rogers (194) and North (178) fought gallantly for 89 overs only to see 6 wickets fall for just 44 runs. However, it did give their team something to bowl at.

With a 181 run lead, Matthew Nicholson charged in with Nostrassasin thoughts swimming in his brain, mesmerising him. "Must get early wickets. Must get early wickets!" Bang! Crash! Wicket, first ball. Greg Mail golden.

Five overs pass. Nicho goes up to big Jo and says quietly, "Look mate, Alfie gave us the newy ahead of Thorpy and Clacker. Reckons he's had a vision or something. So, look mate, you get Kit Kat, LB, and I swear to ya mate, I'll get Tugga the same way, OK?"

At stumps, NSW were 3/29. Jo - 1/13 - S Katich, lbw for 2. Nicho - 2/10 incl. S Waugh, lbw for 2.

OMG WHAT A BLOODY AMAZING GAME! I was getting worried when WA made that terrific come back but as it usually always happens when two make such a huge partnership the rest go out cheaply! Great reports on the game Assasin and Donny well done! Oh and would you look who's still in there batting eh my darling Slats, wouldn't it be bloody fantastic if he hit the runs to win the game for NSW! Ok guys I will settle down now! Good luck with your team Assasin! Image Me only wants NSW to win because of Slats if you didn't know already!

Tasmania notched an outright win against the hapless Redbacks with only Mark Higgs (96 n.o.) innings forcing them to bat again.

Denton (3/61) enjoyed his comeback (from injury) match, taking 8 wickets and Downton also took 3/61, giving him 6 for the game.

The Tigers (2/65) won by 8 wickets with Mason being not out on 30.

South Australia have been a disgrace this year in my opinion. The batting has been terrible for most of the year especially when the Sheffield Shield specialst in Lehmann is not there. Blewett has played ok but on too many occassions the batting line up has been skittled.

Bowling wise they lost Blocka Wilson who was quite good in previous years. Damien Fleming was a risk that clearly back fired.

The worrying thing is that they dont seem to be developing any players either Image

Mark Waugh (36) and Brad Haddin (24) are gutsing it out in their team's quest for the 182 runs needed for an outright victory against WA.

They have added 53 for the 7th. wicket and NSW need 37 more. Jo Angel, Matt Nicholson and Michael Clark each have two wickets.

Michael Slater was out for 36 and Don Nash made a lusty 30. Michael Clarke failed to bother the scorers.

Langer makes a bowling change. Beau Casson, the left-arm wrist spinner, drops on to a length immediately and with his 5th. delivery, bowls Haddin!

Three wickets needed by WA and 37 runs needed by NSW. Haven't we had some good finishes in the Pura Cup, this season?

I should phone Nostrassasin for the result! Lol.

Great match!

Scintillating return to form for Slats and Marcus North and well bowled, Matt Nicholson. He was a last minute replacement for Brad Williams and took 7 wickets including Steve Waugh twice, Michael Clarke for 9 and Greg Mail for a golden duck with the first delivery of NSW's second innings.

Can Victoria still make the final ??

Hopefully they can as i want David Hookes to do well Image

Nothing would make me happier if he won the Pura Cup as a coach.
