I enjoy reading all the posts in this topic and do so with great interest. I think it's important to remind some posters this current Aussie team is playing in THIS era.
We are the best team of this era.
Before anyone jumps in with, "Oh but we couldn't beat India in India!!", we had a strong win in the first Test, lost the second after an incredible fightback from the home team and lost the third in a very close finish. In the previous series we beat them 3/0 in Oz.
I can see no valid point in comparing this team to other great teams of other eras.
We can only beat the other teams (countries) as presented to us.

GO THE MIGHTY WOODSMEN !! ALL THE WAY IN 2003 AND BEYOND !!!!

What a beautifully classic moment to end the third day !! Steve Waugh says, "Bic, give us an over mate"
Andy Bichel grabs the ball and runs in. His first delivery is the equal of any of the great balls not to get a wicket and completely beats Hussain.
He then sends down a slightly better one - and bowls the English captain, comprehensively !!!
Then, this morning, he celebrates with another wicket in his second over.
Well done, Bic. His innings with the bat was a top knock as well. He probably won't be remembered as a great Aussie fast bowler but no player trains harder, puts in harder or is prouder of his 'baggy green' than Andy Bichel.

Isn't cricket a fascinating game at times ?!
Four batsmen - three of the very best to have played for Australia in recent years and a young batsman who went close to making the first Test team - scored 3 runs between them for NSW against Tassie today as they were skittled for 86.
Their names ? Michael Slater (duck), Michael Bevan (duck), Michael Clarke (duck) and Mark Waugh (3).
