The advantage of sitting near DTM is he knows every player and their bio, he's a 2 legged encyclopaedia.

The disadvantage of sitting in front of him is my right ear is still ringing from the frequent cries of 'BALL"

Interesting that Dawes didn't play, the other emergencies all did.
Wonder if Dawes might be a late replacement for Fraser?

Thats the only issue I've had with anything I've seen of his games, still lacks awareness and a little bit one paced so he does get run down from behind. Other than that, I'd have to agree that given the amount of footy he's played against quality oposition, and at his age... definitely a player.

Mattys assessment of the players is one of the most accurate I have seen, so congrats on the good work.

Gee Jack had a shocker obviously conditions didn't suit but his attitude didnt seem good enough either, seems to have lost all confidence.

Very good assessment by Mattys. It was bitterly cold at Vic Park, but great to see some real Saturday afternoon footy.

1 of Young's holding the ball calls was for a throw... but he clearly got a handball away. The other he got run down from behind at half forward when he was trying to find a target inside 50.

But how good was the surface?!

Took an absolute torrent of rain and still held firm under foot.

Surely a surface as good, if not better, than any in the country.

BTW. Fantastic report. I thought OB was OK too.

In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.
