Honorable mention to Blight who was tough as nails and reminds me of a better skilled Maxwell.
Yes I am a big fan of this young man, did Tristen Francis play today??
Yep I think Goldie deserves a run, will see how it pans out tomorrow with the changes.

Pretty ordinary standard of VFL game due to the weather today, was like we were at Williamstown again. :oops:

2 big positives out of the game for me were;

Tyson Goldsack; Played well all day, with only Pendlebury and Keefe as support in a very weak backline, against the likes of Laycock, Neagle and Cloke. Goldy got his run back today, still made some skill errors, but was our best player over the 4 quarters.

Cameron Wood; Loved his second half, if he wasn't playing, we would have been thumped in that 2nd half, he was almost brilliant as the floating defender and even went forward and had 2 shots at goal. WATCH OUT JOSH FRASER, ONE MORE BAD PERFORMANCE = VFL, because Woody's back and ready to play seniors.

Honourable mentions to McCarthy, Blair (promote please), Keefe (gutsy head clash late) and Anthony, who struggled a little bit with his foot/ankle injury again.

What the **** happened to Lockyer and Leigh Brown, god I hope they are not playing tomorrow.

We basically lost that game today because Essendon's top up VFL players were better then ours.

All we had outside of our list was Pendlebury and Frost, as they had Cloke, Skipworth and 3-4 other mature aged players who had an impact.

O'Bree struggled, was pretty bad really, hope he isn't finished, but it's not looking good. :cry:

I had a 6 and 4 year old in tow so I didn't see much of the game. Best seemed to be Goldsack whose tackling and endevour was great. Bad to see Anthony limping badly at the end. Good to see the Prez rock up with his two boys even though it was half time. The Yank couldn't get near the ball, The only other player that seemed to impress me was Buckley who seemed to have a little bit of the X factor but I am not sure of his defensive skills. Can't say much more as i spent most of my time chasing a crazy 4 year old around the terraces!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest.

Very simple reason for the loss, Bendigo had the best kick of all the Cloke brothers, I think Jason needs to give Trav some goal kicking lessons :lol:

This year they are Bendigo in name only. It's basically the Essendon reserves... exactly the same set up as us. They have no VFL reserves and all Essendon players are guaranteed to play. Their VFL top up list includes Cloke, Skipworth and others.

How did Simon Buckley go? I thought he might have been considered for the seniors this week.
