Apart from the first 15mins it was a very disappointing performance.

The VFL guys aren't good enough to play the zone. I lost count how many times Bombers players were on their own in the goal square to kick an easy goal... at least 4 or 5 times.

Then we overused the handball sucking our forwards up the ground leaving 3 spare Bombers defenders in the backline and just bombing away, whenever Jack was the target he had 3 or 4 Bombers to compete with in the air.

We lacked good talls. Apart from Wood and Anthony our other talls were Keefe and McNamara. Carter, Pendlebury, Reed and Goldsack were all asked to play on much bigger opponents.

The midfield got beaten by the likes of Houli and Skipworth.

The only 2 players who could come into senior contention next week are Cameron Wood and Goldsack.

Wood actually had a good physical presence about him and took some really strong overhead marks. If I had my way I'd definitely bring him in for Fraser.

Goldsack it seemed was trying to cover 2 or 3 opponents and still managed to try and create run off half back.

Honorable mention to Blight who was tough as nails and reminds me of a better skilled Maxwell.

That's my 2 cents anyway.

Tarks, Leroy, Corrie, Rusling all didn't play.

P.S. Cook now looks crap even at VFL level.

Absolutely shocking performance. Soft and dumb.

Goldsack our best , Wood was promising , Blair was good, he just needs to start getting it 30 times , and Blight shows signs with his pace and penetration.

You go home from games like this thinking only about 5 blokes can play.

Very dissapointing effort from the Woods today. I know we shouldn't underestimate Bendigo's capabilities after last weeks win over the Borough, but still, with the side we had out there today you'd think we'd manage a win!

Take in to consideration from last weeks team we lost our CHF, CHB and FB. Alot of young midsized players were being asked to play key roles and struggled.

Probably explains why we had no structure today.
