I was talking about Dawes, not Rusling.

From what I saw, Dawes worked much harder than JA. Jack might have kicked more goals, but Dawes created much more. I saw JA on the wing just before 3/4 time & he looked absolutely stuffed. I reckon he could do with a few weeks in the VFL just to increase his base fitness. If I was a selector Dawes would be well ahead of JA in my book.
Swan is down, Swan kicks the goal! And everything here will be a Magpie celebration!

3RRR

The Pies are back at Vic Park!

what a wonderful afternoon it was from a rather loose but well-intentioned 'blessing of the scarves' to having a look aorund the visitors change rooms to catching up with footy mates and a few nicksters.

it was a throw back to old times and suburban footy, having a kcik on the ground and no one telling you waht to do or what not to say.

dawes looked good today. anthony did ok could of done enough to earn a recall. he done a cloke and missed inside 30.

shae kicked a good goal, baulked a willi player and then kicked the goal
Don't think Brown will go for that. Not much in it.

Neither Dawes or Anthony teared it up. Certainly didn't demand a spot. One will only be brought in if we think either Fraser or L.Brown are omitted for their poor form.
Looked pretty soft from where I was, but who knows

I am glad to see the umpiring is still the same shit standard at VFL level as it always has been, although first time I have ever been to a Williamstown match and they came out on top with the men in orange

was a great day at the old girl. loved the atmosphere and was proud that a chant of collingwood went up in the last qtr. it was a very enjoyable day even though we lost. my kids loved kicking the ball after each qtr.

Yeah, it was great. $5 for a beer is seriously rich but meh, it's cheaper than Etihad or the G.

Bloody brilliant atmosphere, I hope a lot of the people who were there today for the first game go back. Playing kick to kick at half time, shit I haven't done that for years. Brilliant, loved it, will go back. Several times.
