Full Time:

Anthony: 3
Dawes: 2

Again did well to get back into it, cutting the margin to 2 points. Faded again late though, to lose by over 20.

Good last quarter from Dawes, played a bit deeper (as he should have all game, just looked lost up the ground), made some good contests and took a few marks (6 for the game, 2 contested), though probably should have held onto more of them. In the end, I'd say he was ahead of Jack for the day.

Best player, and most likely to be selected: Simon Buckley. He is our replacement for BJ or Shaw. His kicking is excellent, and at least when he's under pressure he can kick it long. We have too few players with good long kicks, for him to be playing in the reserves. Also has pace and provides some run. Plenty to like if he can get his game together.

Others who'll be a chance for next week: N.Brown, Reid, Dawes, Anthony (in that order).
Well done boys!

Ended up losing by over 20.

On selection:

Buckley must be selected next week, especially if Shaw's not back. We need another running half-back with pace and penetrative kicking, and he is it. Was good today, with excellent disposal by foot.

Dawes shaded Anthony, and if we bring in another tall forward, I'd be picking him. Reid was good, N.Brown was okay.
Well done boys!

It felt weird today... all of a sudden I wanted the ball in our key defenders hands.

Still love Presti though.

Reed, Reid ,Hunter, Young, buckley, Blight, Blair & Dawes all looked very impressive.

Rus was moving freely.

I was pretty boozed by 3/4 time but I think we have some good colts in this side

Anthony played well and if we get a serious injury then put McNamara on the senior list and get him in the side!

Vic Park looked awesome in person, can't wait to go back again.

Anthony and Brown to come in next week if Nathan doesnt get rubbed out.

Goldsack needs one more run before he can be considered, but was good in patches.

Lost the game in the first quarter, when we gave them a 7 goal start, did well to fight back and was a good effort against the supposed premiership favs.

Highlight of the day was Big Shae baulking a player inside 50 and dribbling a goal through, so awesome, and the big fella can ruck.

Can't wait for the next game there in 2 weeks.
