"...the final practice match of the year scheduled for Victoria Park on Saturday 3 April at 10.30am."

Plenty of time to watch the VFL at Vic Park at 10:30am, then head to the 'G to watch the Pies v Melbourne at 2:10pm. 10 minutes on the train from Victoria Park station to Jolimont station. I'll be at both games.

Swan is down, Swan kicks the goal! And everything here will be a Magpie celebration!

Very good game of football.
We lead all day and by as much as six goals at quarter time.
cats got us in the last when Caff and Dawes went off to the G late in the third.
We missed our chances though, including two golden opportunities to Rounds and Barham in the dieing minutes of the game.
Great to be back home again.
Collingwood 17.15.117
Geelong 20.8.128

The way I saw it, feel free to ask any questions.
The cats got us everytime podsidly came on... that guy killed us.
Thought Dawes was ok, would've kicked 3/4. Still doesn't clunk enough, but looked good and quick and ground level.
Barham will never make it, can't kick full stop.
Blight was one of our best. Always attacks the footy hard and never gives in. Likely type.
Suckley.... no good, turn over king, decision making is all over the place.
Jmac, easily best on in the first half, kicked 3/4 goals and just looked a class above.
Caff - so close to playing seniors, ran up and down the wing/ half back today. Provided great link up play.
Shae- big strong looking guy, just really unco atm but in a couple of years might be a handy player...
Goldsack - kicked a ripping goal, spent time on pods and struggled, provided some good run and wasn't bad with the 1%ers
Blair- under every pack worked hard, provided the midfield with the grunt work.
Sinclair (is he #48?) if so played back a fair bit, was also given the job on pods for a while.
Keefe - was ok, few good 2nd and 3rd efforts but sometimes struggled with the basics like kicking the ball, and picking it up off the ground.
Rusling - down back
Brown - didn't do much but he does provide a lot of direction out there which is good.
As for the game, we looked awesome early up by about 6 goals at one stage, then we decided to give Barham a few goes at entering our fwd 50 and he kept letting us down.
Late in the second the game changed with Max Rooke taking charge and kicking 3 goals. He came off at half time and the third was an arm wrestle.
At 3/4 time we were up by 8 but Caff and Dawes had to go to the G, the cats ran out winners by about 2 goals... pretty sure we had more scoring shots though.
Good signs all round.

Fancy a player as good as Max Rooke playing ressies Christ, he was one of the best on ground in a grand final six months ago!
Thanks for the report favs. Some encouragement there. Not surprised by your assessment re Barham. Has everything except the game's most basic skill IMO.
