There were so many influential players in that game that I have to take a cue from swoop and give votes from 5 to 1.
5. Harry
4. Heater
3. Medhurst
2. Didak
1. Wellingham
And even with all that I still missed some people! Thought Leroy was great, sticking up for Welly after incident with Hall (which was an accident, but then someone said Hall had had a go at Welly afterward which if it was true was not at all warranted). Also thought Maxy was great, particulary in the last quarter, when you'd expect the players to wind down when they know they've won, Maxy just kept on keeping on. A real captain's game from him. Last but definitely not least, great first game of the year from Leon Davis, who looked keen to make up for a lacklustre finals series last year.

Defender sorry to have got your knickers in a twist but my point remains that in a team sport all players play a role and you can't give a worst without knowing their role or the small things that they have been asked to do (Dale Thomas).
As for being satisfied I am a damn sight more satisfied than the team we played and more satisfied than than the supporters of at least 7 other teams and other than Freo fans I reckon I might be right up there so yes, after round one I am pretty satisfied.
Have a great day!

stats say daisy played well, i said he didnt, (which i have taken back) certainly wasnt one of our worst but he didnt look on to me, seamed fumbly and "off", scrapy handballs, 1 really bad turnover.GlovemanGayfer wrote:Defender sorry to have got your knickers in a twist but my point remains that in a team sport all players play a role and you can't give a worst without knowing their role or the small things that they have been asked to do (Dale Thomas).

as for saying i dont know a players role, is it safe to say our CHF should be playing better than trav did? considering he realistly had the dogs 4th defender as company.
as for sidebottom, i dont care what his role in the team was, missed easy goals, turned it over heaps, was exposed for pace, was exposed for his one on one marking, terrible game.
and jolly, as our number one ruckman didnt do well, is it safe to say a quality ruckman should be taking a few contested marks? winning the hitouts? getting a few touches? not giving away free kicks? (even though they were bullshit)
when we win the flag ill be satified, excellent start as a team, we still had that old mental lapse during the second though, we really need to get that out of our game.
oh. and my knickers arnt in a twist, i thought yours were?

Bloody hell some people on here can't take a good win and just be happy. What do the players need to do. Every week some will be good and some bad but to have a worst seriously you might as well go and follow Richmond.
Some people will never be happy, great win full stop.

3. Harry- Could rewrite how to play this role
2. H shaw. Media and everyone else Off his his back and let play footy
1. Medhurst. Hung in there when our other forwards got lost
Special mention to a clown near the Sultan and me who abused every scump decision and called them all Chamberlain. Except the bald boundary

Annoying opposition supporters since 1967.
