Good win by the VFL team - well done.
I suspect because he has a wee little body at the moment which limits his ability to make an impression in a tackle - even at VFL level level that was apparent. Against the bigger Saints defenders he'll be taken out. Maybe Mick isnt making the same mistake he made with Leon years ago...

One of the all time great Magpie wins and a privilege to watch.

Gavin Brown has done an extroadinary job with this squad in just the two years which is made all the more remarkable as next weekend we play a do or die semi against either The Borough or our old chums The Gulls.

So many outstanding performances today it is unfair to mention names but Danny Stanley, Jarrod Blair, Cam Wood and Ryan Cook were constantly providing supply and Brad Dick's 5 goals really setup the big win. The boys today all showed that finals footy is something they thrive on and right from the start didn't give Casey a sniff.

The only dissappointment was the crowd. I expected much more, given the numbers that watch training today.

Some pics from the action today...

Next week is against either Williamstown (old VFL affiliate) or Northern Bullants (northern suburbs rival) on Sunday @ Port Melbourne, 1:10pm.

Hopefully it is against the Bullants who are Carlton's VFL team as they will now have the strict finals qualifications on them now that Carlton are finished in the AFL.

My bad, I said Port, but they will play either Box Heads or Geepong depending on today's result.

With you there joneys86, If we play the Pizzants we can be pretty confident of a Prelim against North Ballarat.

Happy days!

I have long bemoaned the lack of facial hair in our team and these three boys, along with Sidey have put in a wonderful effort and the rewards were self evident today on the scoreboard.

Great work guys.
